FASHION STORY
Summer
Soirées
Time to pack away all those winter woes and bring
out the sunshine. Bright shift dresses, hot hats,
breezy maxis, chic sunglasses and haute totes, we
give you six looks that are guaranteed to make you
look smokin’ hot this summer
words
Dump those basic black eye-covers
and dress up your outfit with shades in
different shapes and colours. Round,
oversized, mirrored, embellished,
protective, take your pick of shades for
this toasty season. Zara, `1,990
| Shruti Tomar
Layering is not just about your attire
anymore. To nail this trend, double
up, no, quadruple up on those
rings and mix and match styles. A
thick chunky ring with a couple of
thin bands or an ornate style with
something rather dainty. Play with
different metals, stones, shapes and
have fun! Accessorize, `2,845
Spring into summer with some
sunshine. A free flowing dress that’s
as airy and breezy as a poignant
summer evening, should be
perfect for a movie date or Sunday
barbecues. Depending on the
occasion, dress it up or down with
heels or strappy embellished sandals.
Flash that sunny smile and you’re
good to go. Zara, `4,590
Shun those flip flops this
summer. They’re really
tired. Dress your feet with
these gorgeous stringy
sandals that not only look
great but also give your
feet room to breathe.
Worn with dresses, skirts or
cotton pants, these happy
feet are sure to kick up a
storm. Accessorize, `4,345
You simply cannot go wrong with floral totes.
When your attire is monotone, add a splash
of colour with a bright carry all. Toss in your
summer essentials like sunscreen lotion, a sun
hat, wet tissues, water spray and a truck load of
attitude. Aldo, `5,899

May-June 2015 selectcitywalk.com
White out
There is nothing that spells elegance
like white. Add floral tiaras, chunky
statement pieces, a bit of polka or
a monochrome sun hat to rock
this trend
A must for the summers,
the sun hat is a faithful
companion during the hot
months of the year. Why look boring
when you can opt for a variety of
designs, colours, textures, shapes and
sizes? Beachside fantasies or simply
saving your self from the sun, either way
a sun hat is a summer necessity.
Aldo, `3,899
It’s all about making a statement.
A chunky necklace like this one
can pack in a great punch to
a white ensemble. Dramatic,
interesting and eye-catching
rolled into one is what an
accessory should be about this
summer. Accessorize
The LWD or little white dress, for
those of you who are uninitiated,
is a must have in your wardrobe.
An outfit you can blindly work into
any look whether casual or formal,
the LWD is bound to keep all eyes
on you. Go on, get yours now.
Dress your hair with this
dainty floral headband and
let your hair loose. These look
especially great when worn
with a lacy white number like
this dress. Pick out a muted
one, a bright floral one or
make a DIY one at home. Get
creative. Accessorize
Mango
Strap these on for summers.
With charming styles to ultra
chic versions, the strappy sandal
is a trend that’s spotted on most
global runways this season. From
Jimmy Choo to Prabal Gurung,
this stylish footwear is walking
the fashionable walk.
Charles and Keith
Polka dots is an eternal
favourite across the
fashion map. Bring
that punch of cuteness
to your white dress
with a polka dotted
monochrome bag. To
add more sparkle, place
multi coloured badges
or string in colourful
ribbons. Aldo, `5,899

FASHION STORY
A popular style this summer, these
red frames are a must-own. In
metallic or acetate or with shiny
baubles, you are be rest assured
everyone’s seeing red around you.
Mango
A statement neckband like this
with one sparkly stone in the
centre is a great way to dress
up a breezy summer outfit.
Wear with this crop top and
floral skirt combination or
with an monotone ensemble
for maximum impact. Always
remember to accessorize.
Accessorize, `2,395
Pleated tea length skirts or slightly shorter
ooze oodles of femininity and elegance.
Team with a crop top like this black lacy
one or with a crisp white formal shirt.
A cute X-body or an evening clutch should
complete this summery look.
Lacy crop tops are perfect
for summer dressing. They
can be paired with skirts of
all lengths, trousers, capris,
shorts. They can be dressed
up or dressed down to suit
your mood and occasion. You
simply must rock the crop
this summer.
Forever New, `3,800
Bebe
Crop up
Fashionable summer separates
like crop tops and pretty skirts
will make this hot season so much
more enjoyable. Dig in
Dip your tootsies into these
beauties if you’re going to be
swept off your feet. If you’re
going dancing with the girls,
then these are easy to tap your
feet in too. Either way, marry this
outfit to a pair of sky-highs or
slinky sandals to ge t the most
out of it . Aldo, `7,999
A gorgeous tote in a brilliant red sets off
the blues. When wearing monotones or
when combined with shades of black
and white, introduce a third colour to
complement your ensemble. Add the
punches of colour through accessories
like a bag, sunglasses or a belt. Follow
the cue here. Accessorize
14
May-June 2015 selectcitywalk.com
Accessorising can be tricky when
it comes to open necks, bare
shoulders and deep necklines.
This interesting blue stone necklace
is a great accompaniment to the
jumpsuit. Try it on.
Accessorize, `3,145
Jumpsuits work perfectly for
casual-chic moments and
just as well for sportive cool
moods. Wear with heels,
statement accessories and
those sunshades and you’re
ready to take summer on.
French Connection, `4,999
Sunshades, oversized especially,
are reminiscent of the eternally
fashionable Jackie O (minus the
jumpsuit of course). Pick a pair
that suits your face and does not
completely hijack it. This helps to
try a few styles before blindly buying
one. Forever New, `1,800
An eye-catching accessory never
fails to uplift an ensemble. This
elegant slender wrist band with
its crests and troughs makes for
great wrist-candy. Get your hands
on these for that much-needed
sparkle. Aldo, `1,299
Jump in
Some sexy, some slouchy and some
downright mechanical, the jumpsuit is
reclaiming the centre stage
The clutch is all your need to
complete that party look. It
creates a grand contrast to the
functional jumpsuit and adds
that much more charm to it. The
envelope clutch is an elegant
staple every fashion zealot worth
her salt needs. Accessorize, `2,195
selectcitywalk.com May-June 2015
Stilettos are not to be
taken lightly. At four
inches or six, a pair of
these gorgeous heels are
the perfect side dish to this
ensemble. Team this blue
jumpsuit with these pale
heels and stride on with
confidence. Aldo, `7,999

FASHION STORY
Ditch those stuffy handbags for a
cute, colourful clutch with fringed
edges or pom poms. Adding a burst
of colour to the blues, this clutch
instantly livens up the entire look.
Get out of that matchy-matchy rut
and take some risk.
The perfect summer
dress in all kinds of blue
is, in fact, the perfect
potion to drive away the
blues. Don this with a
summer hat and strappy
sandals for a walk on the
beach. Don’t forget your
sunglasses and make
sure you have your SPF
on. Forever New, `5,400
Accessorize, `3,745
SUN DOWN
The perfect sun dress, your
floppy hat, those mirrored sun
shades and the beach, that’s
what this summer should
be about
The sky in your eyes, perhaps?
Mirrored sunglasses are all the rage
currently. Available in a multitude of
colours, these blue ones are perfect for
this dress. Get one, pronto! Aldo
Of course, there
is nothing more
essential in the
summers than the
faithful floppy hat.
In various sizes,
colours, patterns
and textures, this
not only looks great
but also protects
one from the sun’s
harmful rays. Make
sure you own one.
Accessorize, `1,945
16
A striking band makes for just the
right amount of accessorising in this
outfit. Less is more this summer and
that’s a mantra to be taken seriously.
Slip this on and shine your way
through. Swarovski
May-June 2015 selectcitywalk.com
Top these shorts with a cool
pair of aviator sunglasses in a
bright colour. Make your summer
all about vivacious dressing
and pull out the plugs on your
imagination. Ray Ban (available at
Sunglass Hut)
You do own a pair of these, don’t
you? The fashion police diktat is that
all those who don’t could be jailed for

the star
within
Destiny might have other plans for your wardrobe in 2015.
Do you like sporty outfits over slinky numbers, do you obsess
about sequins, does your fit have to be structured or is anti-fit
more your gig – the fault may be in our stars. Let’s crack
that sartorial zodiac for the year and see what lies ahead
words

Y
our style is written in the stars, so if
you find yourself leaning towards a
certain trend and can’t seem to control
it, know that the cosmos is taking over. Some
of those sartorial preferences that seem
inherent are governed by our astrological
signs. So, what does 2015 have to say about
your fashion choices?

aries
il
21 March - 19 Apr
Arians can smell a fashion trend
from a distance. A strong and keen
sense of style, 2015 will see them
constantly adding fresh takes on
trends to give it their own twist.
Also, this sign is connoted with a
lot of action. They like to ruffle a
few feathers and their attire reflects
this. Trend-setters, they enjoy
well-tailored and sharply defined
clothing. Fitted trousers, tailored
jackets and skirts and structured
ensembles is what the Arian seeks.
Pastels, frills, flounces, patterns
and lace are not for this woman.
Colour and clean simplistic lines
form an essential aspect of your
dressing this year. So whether
it’s sporty luxe or a sensuous
mini, confidence with a touch of
elegance is definitely your poison
for 2015.
taurus
20 April - 20 May
Taureans invest in fashion.
You’ll find them picking
out items of clothing that
will not only last them long
but also work a long time
for them. Classic colours,
eternal pieces and neutral
hues with interesting
textures define the Taurean
wardrobe. To add that hint
of shimmer, a necklace or
studs in precious stones is
what you should choose this
year. This is an essentially
feminine sign. You love
pastel colours that are soft
and sensual. Your clothes
should be feminine — think
floaty gauzy. Bold patterns,
sharp cuts and bright
colours should be avoided
in 2015. Taureans like
wafting around in a cloud of
exquisitely delicate fabric.
gemini
21 May - 20 June
This sign looks for clothes and
styles in classic cuts and shapes
but the twist this year is that you
will constantly reinvent your
look by pairing these classics
with statement accessories.
Youth and versatility are Gemini
watchwords. You love bright
patterns and breezy comfortable
styles. Gemini women are fun-
34
loving and quirky, so anything
too serious or dark is wrong
for you. Executive suits in dark
blues, blacks or greys are too
conventional. Gemini women
love clothes that are adaptable
and versatile — reversible jackets,
skirts that double as dresses
or trousers that transform into
shorts are perfect for you for 2015.
May-June 2015 selectcitywalk.com
Cancer
21 June - 22 July
Femininity is the mainstay of
Cancerians. No tom-boyish gigs
for them this year. They celebrate
their femininity in 2015, especially
through fashion by creating outfits
with luscious fabrics like silks
and satins. Cancerians like a little
glimmer which lights their wardrobe
by way of shimmery fabrics and
styles. Of all the star signs, the
crab is most associated with an
intrinsic sense of style and panache.
Effortlessly feminine, you will
radiate elegance and understated
chic this year. Cancerians are
sensitive, soft and artistic, so silver,
russet and lilac are good colours
for 2015 and you generally look
better in skirts and dresses than
trousers. Cancerian Diana, Princess
of Wales had an uncanny knack for
fashion. She knew instinctively how
to dress exquisitely and never put a
fashion foot wrong.
leo
23 July - 22 August
Fierce fashion is this sign’s calling.
They sport a very sophisticated taste
in everything they lay their hands
on this year. Nothing but the best
will do for 2015, like an exclusive
vintage piece or a limited edition
accessory. You dislike hoarding and
would rather own a few but timeless
items. Dramatic colours such as
gold, red and purple are the ones
for the dramatic, flamboyant Leo
woman. Forget about big comfy
jumpers, sensible shoes and trousers
— striking angular shapes, sharp
cuts, bold and dramatic clothes are
perfect. Take Madonna, who is a Leo,
she uses clothes to create an impact.
She wore a conical bra in her 20s
and, in her 40s, thought nothing
of turning up to a red carpet event
in a leotard and very little else. In
order to be true to themselves, Leos
need to use clothes as part of a
performance.
virgo
23 August - 22 September
Elegance is the buzzword around
this star sign for 2015. Beautiful
detailing, impeccable tailoring and
striking cuts hold the attention of
the Virgo-born. They move away
from anything that is too flashy or
fad-like this year and stick to basics
that will serve them well. A fabulous
trench coat and a structured and
well-fit cotton shirt are must
haves in the Virgo wardrobe for
2015. Detail and perfection are of
selectcitywalk.com May-June 2015
utmost importance to the Virgo
woman — she can’t bear cheap and
cheerful. The Virgoan wants flawless
tailoring, elegant clothes with
intricate detail. You are thrifty so
you will indulge in hunting through
the sales for the ideal hemline. The
perfect colours for Virgo are natural
tones, beige, fawn, cream, white.
Bright patterns, fake fur or novelty
jewellery are what you hate from
the core of your heart.

Libra
er
23 September - 22 Octob
A fashion zealot through and
through, the Libran will be the
first to get their hands on a new
trend or look. Nonetheless, in
2015 you will lean towards super
feminine and soft garments like
flowing skirts, chiffon evening
dresses and French lace. You
love harmony and balance. Soft,
flowing shapes, simple colours
such as dark and mid blue,
rose and elegant black are right
for this year. You should avoid
overly frilly, fussy clothes.
Effortlessly balancing high
fashion with timeless classics
is your mantra in 2015. Muted
shades and simple fuss-free cuts
are apt. Pair silk blouses with
sharp shorts or floor-length
flowing dresses with simple,
flat sandals.
Scorpio
23 October - 21 November
Versatility is the Scorpion. Wellcut basics in muted tones like a
plush pair of knee-high boots or
a luxurious velvet jacket will attract
you instantly this year. Ladylike
with an edge is your swag for
2015. The style stratagem is to
bring all attention on you and not
the ensemble. Naturally seductive,
slinky, soft, the Scorpio woman
is intensely passionate. You
are the most sensual and
seductive of the sun signs —
dark blue, red, black are all
perfect colours for you this
year. You should steer clear of
severe lines, tailored suits or
hard fabrics in 2015 and indulge
in silk, satin and velvet.
Sagittarius
22 November - 21 December
Relaxed and chic becomes the
Sagittarian in 2015. Structured
trousers or tailored skirts with a
silken blouson and fitted shirts
will be your signature style for the
year You prefer one magnificent
accessory like a statement cocktail
ring or necklace instead of piling
them on. Sagittarians love to flit
about wherever and whenever
36
they want. Your clothes
should be practical, even
sporty this year. Trousers, leggings,
comfortable slip-on dresses are
perfect. You’ve generally got great
legs and should show these off
at every opportunity. You like
uncomplicated, straightforward
clothes. Breezy dresses, beads and
sequins are a no-no for this sign.
May-June 2015 selectcitywalk.com
Capricorn
22 December – 19 January
Usually those born under this sign opt
for classical and timeless ensembles
that are of premium quality. The fabric,
texture and overall style are of huge
importance for Capricorn folks. 2015
will be about glamour of bygone eras
paired with ladylike, feminine charm
for you. Luxurious separates such as
cashmere, silk blouson and tailored
black trousers should be the musthaves of your armoire. Subtle, stately
and essentially conservative, the little
black dress is a Capricorn favourite
but you should steer clear of bright,
breezy colours or eccentric designs
this year. Grey, dark blue, brown or
black tailored suits are perfect for
your stylish, understated elegance.
A Capricorn woman intuitively
understands how to dress for the
occasion and you should simply trust
your instincts. Soft, feminine and
uncluttered — a triumph of subtle
elegance is the Capricorn woman.
Aquarius
20 January - 18 February
This tribe has no rules. They are free
reigned and go with the fashion flow.
Trendsetters by nature, they love
expressing themselves through their
creativity. This year, you’ll find yourself
mixing things up from different designers
or streets to create an altogether new
look. Don’t be scared to allow your
sense of humour to show through
your sense of style. Whimsical items
of clothing are a sure-shot in yours
wardrobe. Eccentric, unconventional,
the Aquarians doesn’t care what
anyone thinks — as long as boring
isn’t in the equation. Bright vivid
colours, especially electric blue,
unusual interesting patterns and
styles are second nature to Aquarians.
Aquarius woman will think nothing of
dressing up in a kimono for the day if
the fancy takes her. Aquarius must not be
hemmed in — restrictive clothes, tightfitting trousers or jackets, dark colours
are all anathema to you. You are
individualistic with a strong sense
of your own style and personality.
You need to be free to express
yourself in your clothing.
Pisces
19 February - 20 March
You are the dainty-hearted fashionista.
Smooth textures and soft fabrics
such as chiffon, satin, velvet and silk
are your calling this year. Sparkling
evening gowns, high heels and a touch
of glamour is the Piscean style. You
should wear shimmering colours in
2015. Try silver like Cindy Crawford
or gold, reflective white and green.
Brash, bold colours and patterns don’t
suit you. Pisces women prefer to enter
selectcitywalk.com May-June 2015
a room and observe rather than be the
centre of attention. Your clothes should
follow the curves and movement of
your body. Shoes should be pretty little
pumps or sandals this year. High heels,
thigh-length boots, even platforms are
utterly wrong. Pisces needs to be able
to move easily and freely, gliding and
shimmering like a fish through the
water. The sign is artistic, creative and
easily wounded.

Light is the way to go –
Ensure you use a moisturiser
with SPF but one that’s not too
heavy on the skin. Reason being
the heavier your moisturiser, the
more you will sweat. Serums or
water-based moisturizers are a
better option since they’re light in
weight and texture. Similarly for
your base or foundation, look for
something that gives you sheer

creamy ones. The more you pile

Summer beauty tips to remember
Keep blotting papers
handy in your purse. It
helps absorb all the oil
and sebum caused due
to sweating. They are
oil-absorbing papers that
mattify your complexion
without disturbing your
makeup try those too
during summers.

There’s nothing sexy
about foundation sweating
across your face and
mascara. Avoid heavy
foundations. They are
most likely to melt on you
leaving you looking rather
dismal. Switch to lighter
weight products in the
summer that are oil free.
Always carry a cooling
facial mist. A few sprays
when out in the heat help
keep all the makeup in
place and avoid runnyness. Prevent makeup
meltdown with vitaminpacked, instantly cooling
facial mists -- one spritz
sets your face for hours.
Take some time to cool off after your bath and
then start applying your makeup. It’s better to wait
at least 10 minutes for your body to cool down.
Applying makeup to warm skin makes the skin
absorb the ingredients more readily. Wait until the
skin is completely cool.

Beat the heat
Water resistant, smudge resistant
and sweat resistant. Look and stick
to these three buzzwords makeupwise this summer. There are myriad
brands offering makeup to suit
different skin types for the summer,
so choose wisely.
Mineral face powders are
summer saviours. Bare
Minerals (available at
Sephora)
Powder it – Mineral
powders are a must in your
summer makeup bag. They
help to keep the makeup
in place and due to all the
sweating; they also mattify
your makeup. So instead
of a liquid foundation or a
cream-based one, opt for
pressed powders or mineral
ones. They even out the skin
tone and soak up all the
excess oil and unnecessary
shine.
Avoid dark colours for the summers.
No smokey eyes, dark lipsticks or
blushes for the hot months. They will
be the first to be noticed once they
start dripping or getting runny. Your
choices should be softer, neutral tones
so that they don’t look out of place
even if they start dripping.
Less is a must. Too much makeup is a big no-no for the summers.
Stick to the basics and avoid heavily done-up faces. Conceal
those dark spots, undereye circles and use a light summer blush.
This is the time to start trying all those BB creams, if you haven’t
already and finish it off with some bronzer. Waterproof mascara
and a light eyeshadow and you’re good to go!
Drink a lot of water is the most
important advice for summers.
Keeping your body cool from inside
will help combat all that sweat
generation. Sweating means loss of
moisture and salts from your body. So
it is extremely necessary to constantly
hydrate your body with ample H2O.

Braid wrapped ponytails
This is a great style for those who love messy
hairdos as well as neatened ones. To get the
braided ponytail right, start with sectioning
your hair. Separate the top section from ear to
ear and clip the back section out of the way.
Start your braid with a small section of hair by
your right ear and split it into three. Cross the
left over the middle, then the right over the
left. On the next section, add in some hair from
your hairline. Make a lace braid from ear to
ear. A lace braid is just like a French braid, but
instead of adding in hair on both sides, you
only add from one side.

ONE SIDED LOVE
Part your hair slightly off-centre
for this style. On the heavier side,
take a section at the hairline
and divide into three. Now start
braiding your hair like the usual
French braid. Keep adding in a
piece from the top. Next, skip
the part where you would take a
new piece from the bottom and
continue braiding. Continue with
this pattern until you have 5 to 7
sections added in. As soon as you
are past the ear, stop adding new
hair. Continue as a regular braid
and tie it up with cute clip or a
clear elastic band.

ROLL THAT CHIGNON
This works great on all hair types too. Gather your hair into
a low ponytail at the nape of your neck. Pull your elastic
down your hair. Holding your hair above the elastic, pull the
elastic a couple of inches down your hair. Roll your ponytail
up. Starting at the end of your ponytail, roll your ponytail
up around your fingers. Tuck your roll in to make your
chignon. Take your roll and tuck it in to your hair above your
hair elastic. Pin the roll in place with bobby pins. Slide pins
across horizontally to hold the chignon.

DOUBLE THE BUBBLES
Headed to the gym for a full-blown workout or have
a jam-packed day lined up, opt for this easy but good
looking hairstyle. The bubble ponytail is fuss-free
and takes under 2 minutes to get done. Brush your hair
to remove any knots. If your hair is curly then skip
this step. Take a section of hair from the top of
your head and secure with an elastic band. Pick
up the next section of hair, from near your
temples, add it to the first section and secure
it tightly with an elastic band. Take the next
section from level with your ears and combine
it with the previous section with an elastic
band. Continue adding in equal sections of hair
down the back of your head, securing them in
bubble section with an elastic band. Once all
your hair is added, you can add cute hair
accessories on each bubble in different colours..

TWISTED TALES
This style is a great way for those bad hair days when
you don’t have time to style it otherwise and you’re on
the clock for that evening do. Scrunch up your hair into
waves. Clip the front and top up and create a messy
bun at the nape of your neck. Now take separate pieces
from the top and front sections and loosely twist. Pin
this pieces into the messy bun. Now, keep repeating
i.e. pinning pieces into the bun until you
reach the top section. Release the front
section and back comb it a bit for a hint
of volume. Twist and pin that section into
the bun. Optionally, you could let loose a
few tendrils around the face to soften the
entire look or leave it pinned at the back.

SUMMERTIME TWISTS
One of the prettiest styles for summer, flaunt this
with flowers or cute hair clips. Depending on the
volume of your hair, separate your locks into four
to six sections. Twist each section and roll it into a
mini bun at the bottom of the back of your scalp. Start
with the outermost sections. Pin each section as you
twist it with two or three bobby pins per bun. Continue
twisting and working your way to the centre of your
crown. If you have a gap in between two buns, repin to fill the space. Pin any long hairs that are still
loose. You’ve done it! Now, you can wear it like this or add
pretty hair accessories or flowers.
Before you start this style, tie your hair into a
bun or a ponytail. Fold a large square scarf in
half into a triangle. Lay the scarf on your head
with the center point of the triangle facing
forward and the sides hanging down. Making
sure most of your hair is covered, bring the
length of each side to the top of your head,
twisting twice to create a knot. Bring both
sides together to the back of your head and
tie it tight. Tuck all your loose ends under the
back
and front of the turban.
Once you’ve twisted
the ends twice into a
knot, bring both sides
together to the back
of your head and tie
it tight. Tuck all your
loose ends and there

Krispy Kreme
Doughnuts are every kids dream come true! They’re
soft and gooey, they’re like cake yet like candy, so it
doesn’t come as any surprise when the kids were
most excited about Krispy Kreme.
“I want the ones with gems!” said Aarit, age 2
and Arush, age 4. It comes as no surprise that the
doughnuts topped with candy, called Kandy Krush
were everyone’s favourites!
The girls went for strawberry filled. “Will it be pink
inside?” asked Kanak, age 6,
“It’s so pretty and powdery” said Riya, age 10.
“So many colours!” Said Tanish, and grabbed the
ones with sprinkles on top!
From chocolate to strawberry, with sprinkles and kit

Wanchai By Kylin
Here’s the thing I discovered while on this day with
the kids! Children can turn absolutely anything and
nothing into a game that endlessly amuses them!
So when the noodle boxes came out at Wanchai by
Kylin, the noodles were used as moustaches, walrus
teeth, thrown across the table, slurped into mouths
and basically converted into every interesting game
possible before they were actually eaten!
A log winding table at the brand new food court, My
Square was the location where all the madness went
down. Yummy noodles and honey chilli potatoes, the
kids had a blast and then carefully closed their boxes
and handed them to their moms to take home! “I will
eat the rest as I watch Doraemon” Said Viraj, age 4.
Don’t forget to ask for the Kids special box – it’s
smaller and much more convenient for the kids to eat!

Now here’s where the kids cheered – literally. “Who
wants pizza?” I asked – all hands shot up. “Who
wants pasta?” All hands shot up.
“Pepperoni for me” “White sauce for me” “I want
spaghetti and meatballs” “Plain cheeses please!” I
was amazed at how many details the children knew
about Italian food and they all had preferences!
The pizza came and vanished in seconds – they
loved the margharita and drooled over the The
Soho. Slices were split and slices were fought over.
And then came the pastas – Fussillii with alfredo
sauce, Penne in spicy arrabiatta, and Spaghetti &
meatballs.
The kids loved the creamy alfredo sauce – the first
to be grabbed pasta was that! Then came spaghetti
and meatballs that all the meat loves grabbed, the
spicy arabiatta? Well, that was left for the adults!
There’s something for everyone on this menu, so
don’t worry about being left out when you bring
your kids to Fat Lulu’s – their delicious menu will
leave you wanting more!

Keventers
Now kids may not like drinking milk, but
shakes? Shakes are a whole different story!
“I want the pink one!” said Sia, age 6 as
she grabbed the beautiful glass bottle at
Keventers and slurped it down!
Atharv loved the choco-chip shake and said
”It has real chocolate pieces in it!”
I comes as no surprise that the most
popular flavours were strawberry, vanilla,
and choco-chip.
The older kids? They chose butterscotch
instead! How our tastes become evolved over
time was shown aptly in their reactions. “It’s
really sweet and smooth!” said Arzoo, age 9.

Drool
We took a pit-stop at Drool for a quick
game of tippy-tippy-tap with their
innovative and interesting menus. The kids
were fascinated by them, and their cute

favourite quotes – #I’mFeelingDroolicious!
and #IDrollForDrool came out right on
the top.
So here’s the ones that are not to be missed
– let your kids turn into their favourite
superhero with Bheem Bheem Chota
Bheem – a waffle topped with Motichoor
ladoo!
If they’re in the mood for something
more playful, let them try Sara’s Kinder
Joy – a yummy gooey waffle topped with
a combination of Nutella, milk cream and
Nutties – even I was tempted to turn into a
kid again with this one!
60
Red Mango
Our last stop on this day of gorging and excitement
was Red Mango! For what better way than to end the
day with a spot of Frozen Yogurt! The kids picked their
favourite flavours one by one, and not one flavour was left
untouched. While the older ones went for Madagascar
vanilla and blueberry, the young guns grabbed chocolate
and mango.
The frenzy began at the toppings. Here were the favourites:
Gummy bears, oreos, chocolate wafer sticks, mango, gems,
butterscotch and Ghiardelli chocolate sauce.
The best part of bringing your children here? It’s really
healthy! The probiotic frozen yoghurt is really good for
them, and so yummy that they’ll slurp out the last bite too!
So let this summer be for the kids. Let them map out their
trail, figure out their favourites and indulge in everything
that there is to offer at Select CIYWALK! Trust me, you will
earn some “Brownie” points with them for sure!
