Without a doubt, DJ Cooch (Jorge Aldama) is an emerging star in the entertainment industry. Whether
you find him in the dance clubs behind the turntables or in a comedy club behind the mic, there seems
to be no limit to the talent of this versatile performer.
For over a decade, Cooch has been hitting the west coast as a DJ/Remixer/M.C. He quickly went from
backyard parties to hyping thousands at desert raves and different dance venues throughout the
country. Under the former partnership Cooch and Xavier, he hosted celebrity parties, award shows,
concerts and turned a hosting gig for Universal CityWalk’s New Years Eve Celebration into "Latino
Dance Party" on CityWalk. During the two year run of this popular outdoor event, Cooch was able to
showcase his talents on the mic as an MC and his mastery behind the turntables as a DJ.
While his spinning was garnering Cooch lots of bookings and attention, it was his quick wit and comedic
timing behind the mic that brought him increasing opportunities to serve as MC and host for many of
the shows. As a host, Cooch delighted audiences everywhere with his rare ability to walk onto any
stage, pick up a microphone and immediately connect with any audience regardless of age or
demographic. His "gift of gab" as well as being fluent in English, Spanish and French has landed him
many hosting gigs, most notably co-hosting MTV’S Rock the Vote 2001 with Ashton Kutcher, and doing
double duty as host and opening act for Latin super star Juan Gabriel in concert at Universal Studios
Hollywood. As a host, Cooch quickly built a reputation as a true entertainer.
Hosting led to the discovery of his newfound passion: stand-up comedy. After years of countless
requests from fans and friends, Cooch finally made his comedic debut in 2004 at the Improv in Ontario,
CA. decimating a full house with a hilarious routine that has audiences and industry insiders buzzing
about this “super rookie”. Since that fateful day Cooch has gone on to garner big laughs in comedy
clubs all over the country.
In the five years that Cooch has been performing as a comic, he has exhibited a comedic ability
surpassing that of many more "seasoned" comics. He is recognized as one of the only comics in such a
early stage of his career to not only headline, but also sell out shows. He has shared the stage with
such comedic heavyweights as Carlos Mencia, Pablo Francisco, Anjelah Johnson, Tommy Chong of
the Cheech & Chong dynasty, Jo Koy, John Pinnet and the list goes on and on. He was featured on
L.A. TV’S hit show MAS COMEDY & also had a recurring role as himself on the TV show "La Esquina"
which premiered May 9th 2007 on Mun2 Network starring multi-platinum recording artist Pitbull.
His movie credits include the independent film "Primos" and upcoming film "Barrio MMA kid". As a
comic Cooch is featured in the DVD "Comedy Slam" produced by one of the legendary latin kings of
comedy Joey Medina.
Cooch is currently on the Lopez Tonight Party Bus Tour as a Comic and MC from the TBS television
show of the same name, Hosted by George Lopez, also he is scheduled to fly for the second time
overseas later in the year to entertain our troops in Iraq and Japan.
While remaining focused on his comedy, Cooch has undertaken a new venture in affiliation with Audio
Surg Entertainment. “Marroquin Concerts” is a agency that books DJs, Comedians and recording Artist
to be showcased at venues thru out the country, performing at concerts, award shows, company events
or just a simple Hollywood mingle. Cooch is making sure his professional legacy lives on.
Music. Comedy. Acting. Mentoring.
Only Cooch knows what’s next. One thing is for certain, though. We have only seen a glimpse of the
many talents of Jorge Aldama.
