Where are we?
We are located in the centre of High
Wycombe, a modern and expanding market
town situated in the Chiltern Hills,
with journey times under 40 minutes by train
from London Marylebone, and 45 minutes by
road from Hammersmith,
Oxford or Reading.

What do we offer?
We offer professional industry standard recording and film making facilities for hire
at competitive prices. Based at Bucks New University, the media centre was opened
in October 2009 and houses the latest state of the art equipment in a modern and
contemporary environment.
When it comes to hiring film and audio production equipment and expertise, one size

Film production options
We offer industry standard cameras,
sound equipment and lighting, all of which
can be configured for use in our studios
or out on location. We also offer multi
camera production, including live or preproduced audio tracks.
Our production team has produced
and assisted the filming and editing of
a diverse range of projects, including
sports events, music videos, sales
materials, theatrical events and dance
performances.

Film studio facilities
We have a choice of studio spaces available for hire that include audio-visual
editing suites, which feature Final Cut Pro/Studio, Avid and other audio-visual
sequencer/plug-ins and related software on MacPros.
The suites are acoustically treated, sympathetically lit and situated in
aesthetically pleasing post production spaces.
If you need to hire any specific equipment, we also offer dry hire of our
extensive production equipment.

Film Studio 1
Film Studio 1 is 100m2 in size, and is an HD triax-based multi camera facility with optional
use of a large green screen (2 x 8m/9m walls and full floor covering + infinity cove). The
studio has a full TV lighting rig with the option of control from the studio and/or gallery.

Film Studio 2
Film Studio 2 is 75m2 in size, containing a
full HD gallery including vision mixer and
sound desk, lighting controls, monitors and
everything you need for live camera and
audio vision mixing.

Film Studio 3
Film studio 3 is our largest studio space.
Also known as the Drama studio, this
flexible studio can be configured for
performance or film and audio capture.
The space has full overhead gallery
lighting and can be supplied with
flexible seating for up to 50 people for
performances, or with any combination
of drapes when filming. The studio has
150m2 of floor space, plus an upper
gallery containing a lighting desk and an
audio playback unit.

Audio recording options
We have a state of the art recording centre here
at Bucks New University. The recording centre is
comprised of four fully equipped control rooms, plus
two large, linked live rooms, as well as three live vocal/
overdub booths. The studios can be hired throughout
the summer months and can also include one of our
experienced engineers to support your own producer
or engineer.
We can also provide full service production, utilising
the skills of our production and engineering team, see
page 13 for more details.

Recording studio 1
Studio 1 is 38m2 in size and is connected to a 48m2 live area and a 18m2 live booth. Other live
rooms and booths can be connected by prior arrangement with the Studio Manager. The control
room has sight lines to Studio 3, Live Rooms 1 & 2, and Live Booths 1 & 3.

We also have two project suites, each containing a Digidesign Digi002 control surface, KRK
RP6 G2 monitors, Mac Pro G5 2Ghz dual core 1GB RAM, and Pro Tools LE8.
Audio recording packages
In addition to hiring our studios, we can offer recording packages at competitive prices.
Audio package one:
includes a one day recording session of up to three songs,
plus an additional days mixing.
Audio package two:
includes a weekend session of recording plus an additional day
mixing of up to four songs.

l Online Extra
If you are already using one of our recording packages, we can
produce a high quality video in the studio, for use on YouTube
and online viral promotion. This is perfect for new and unsigned
artists who are building their fan base.
l YouTube Plus
If you have already recorded your songs our production team
can produce a video for you using two location set ups in the
University. You receive three filming hours plus post production
services for an incredible price.

Express Business video
This video package is perfect for businesses who need a sales presentation,
social media ad or training video. Our Film team will come to your business,
film for up to three hours and post-produce the video here at the University.
We ensure a fast turn around so that you have the finished product in
front of your audience as soon as possible.
Sports and Events video
Our multi camera film production team can film and post-produce a first
class video of your event. We capture the action on broadcast quality cameras,
providing you with a commercial quality master that you can then use for
DVD, TV or online.
