ROUTE MESQUIDA MORA WINERY
DESCRIPTION
Our first visit awaits us at our departure point, as a
well-preserved mill, along with a restored waterwheel or “sínia”, crowns this square. Here we will explain
the use and functions of the waterwheel as well as
the meaning of the term “Denominación de Origen”
(guarantee of origin).
We will start to pedal towards the tourist cycle route
that surrounds the municipal of Porreres and we will
explain how it has become a source for tourism over
the past years in Majorca.
At the mill and estate of Son Porquer, we will stop off
to discover first hand with the oenologists at the
Mesquida Mora winery, how one of the most recog-

nized Majorcan wines, is cultivated, treated and
produced.
Afterwards, we will go on to visit one of the most
productive stone quarries on the Island, which is of
great importance to the people of Porreres. We will
make a short stop off to refresh ourselves or have a
snack at the pine forest of Moreis, situated at the
foot of Monti-Sion and Femella.
Finally, we will arrive at the winery and taste their
wines and snack of various typical products of the
area.

ROUTE CANTERA SON GRAU
DESCRIPTION
This route has a lot to offer.
Visit to Pou Celat and Talaiots.
Short stop off at Son Mesquida.

We will have the opportunity to see a well preserved
public well, near a Talaiotic settlement, located at a
strategic point where we can get a good idea of

ROUTE OF COWS
DESCRIPTION
This route aims to take you back in time and relive
the historical and cultural experience in a village
whose principle income came from cattle farming.
During the circuit, we will pass many of the 420
dairies that were still running 35 years ago. However,
since the recession that has hit the sector, added to
the salinization of the waters used on the fields,
currently only 20 are working. The dairies that are
still operational specialize in select cows, with a
carefully picked herd with a very well balanced diet.

VÍA VERDA
DESCRIPTION
The green routes are paths internationally recognized for the practice of the cycling, hiking and time of
leisure. The railroad routes that are in disuse are in
use for it, taking advantage of his space and situation.
In this case, the route of the railroad that was communicating the east of the island has turned into the
Green Route Manacor-Artà. It is a question of an

ROUTE SON POU CAVE
DESCRIPTION
This route primarily combines the mountain bike
with hiking and caving trips, into the chasm.
Leaving the town of Santa Maria, alternating road
asphalt and old carriage road, we travel a ground
level and parallel to the stream of Coanegra. It is a
simple route to enjoy in family, until you reach the
entrance of the pit by a few stone corridors.
The Cave of Son Pou, a natural cavity located on the
farm Son Pou, in the Valley of Coanegra, accessing
it through a tunnel, within this we enjoy the vastness
of this wonderful hidden of the Serra de Tramuntana.

An interesting trekking route due to both its scenery
and amazing views and the fact that the two monasteries that we will visit boast some amazing architecture, a well-preserved old footpath will lead us to
them.
The climb is well known but the descent down the
northern part is not so well known, the tunnels that
show us how people lived in the Civil War will surprise us.
The Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Cura has
always been significant throughout the history of our
islands. Firstly, because it was the retirement and
inspirational home of Ramón Llull. Later, during the
Civil War, it served as a refuge for munitions and as
a hiding place. Currently, it is one of the most
frequented places by visitors, and an absolute must
for cyclists to climb all year round, offering a climatic
paradise for all who visit it.
