As we reflect on 2014, Sables accomplished much with the help of Sables volunteers, donors, auction buyers, SCI Chapters, individual SCI and Sables members and partners. Together, we make a difference in continuing our hunting heritage. Thank you! • This past year the number of youth participating in conservation education, shooting sports and hunting opportunities increased. • More educators graduated from the American Wilderness Leadership Program ‘Conservation Education for Teachers’ thanks to SCI Chapters, Hunter Legacy 100 Fund, Sables Dream Hunt auction proceeds, Mossy Oak and Audrey Murtland – founder of Sables. • A new endowed college scholarship was established in a partnership with the SCI Minnesota Chapter that provides support to law students that are hunters and who want to preserve our freedom to hunt. • An international scholarship experienced a second year of success with the help from the Hunter Legacy 100 Fund. It provides scholarships to students from African nations to study conservation management and who become field managers. These are only a few highlights of what we accomplished this past year and to ensure a future for hunting we must continue supporting education programs that work. This issue of the Sables E-news is the Sables Luncheon Auction Preview Guide. Under the tutelage of his older brother, renowned sculptor Nicholas Tandi, James quickly showed a natural talent for sculpting.
