MEETING ROOM:
Thank you to the
Stone Cottage for
the FREE use of the
meeting room twice
monthly and also
for the quality service you provide.
I am happy to report that the
weather cooperated this year for
our Mystery Ride. The ride was a
success thanks to the members
who volunteered their time. I also
appreciate the prize donations that
were contributed and collected by
the members. Wayne Alphonso planned a new route with a different ice cream destination for us this year. Once again, the
White Knights were the sweepers on our ride keeping everyone safe. I want to thank Dean Mackie and Jill Moxley at
Mackie Harley-Davidson for their assistance at the store before
the ride and the raffle and door prizes. The Old Stone Cottage
had a delicious barbeque lunch ready for us after the ride.
Thank you to Chris and his staff for preparing that for us.
Well, the Provincial Rally is behind us and it was a success!
Congratulations to the Durham Chapter for hosting a great Provincial Rally.
A huge thank you to Dean and Cindy Mackie, Jill Moxley
and Dan Nadeau and the rest of the Mackie Harley-Davidson
staff for their support with our Chapter barbeque. Despite the
rain, we had a successful venture. Chef Hollywood Joe and his
Sous Chefs were busy cooking, flipping and wrapping hot dogs
and hamburgers for the crowds. It was great to see many of our
Chapter members stop by for a visit. Our Bike Wash station was
appreciated by the HOG members who arrived from near and
far.

Friday night’s bowling was a lot of fun. It could not have been done without the hard work
and organization by Al Crockford. He spent many countless meetings planning an enjoyable
night for all. For all of Al’s hard work, he was awarded with the Public Relations Officer
patch. Al kept us informed of the Durham Chapter’s ideas and took on a huge undertaking
(and a lot of BS) to be the middle man between our Chapter and Durham for the Provincial
Rally. For this, we thank him.
If you haven’t already marked the dates on your calendars, the 26 th Annual Rosie’s Rodeo and
Roast mc event, Kingston is July 18th to the 21st. Also, the Mackie Harley-Davidson Sportster
Ride is Saturday July 27th.

We had 8 players and Annie. Joanne,
Arnie, Bob, Patrick, John and Dan got
knocked out and it was down to the final 2
players of me and “the bully” Carmen. Well,
Carmen won the $50. As the winner of
last weeks game, the person that knocked
me out got 5K in chips as a bonus. There
was only the two of us and Carmen
wanted the bonus next week, what a guy.
After the game some people played euchre
and we sat around and had a good time.
Next game is on July 11, registration 7:00
game starts a 7:30 at Kornerstones at
Birchmount & Ellesmere.
We had Joanne, John, Dan, Carmen, Conner, Dave , Cody & me playing. Carmen,
who had the bounty on his head was taken
out by Cody. Cody and his dad Dave were
the last two players, with Cody just kicking
ass and winning $50. The next game is on
Aug 15, at Kornerstone Bar at Ellesmere
and Birchmount. Aves. Registration at 7:00
and game starts at 7:30.
Thanx

Membership Report
I would like to thank all of the members who assisted to make our
Mystery Ride a success this year. An event like this cannot happen
without a committee who works behind the scenes to have everything
organized for the big day. From the beautiful weather, to the great
door prize contributions and a delicious barbeque, it was a fun day had
by all.
At both the Mystery Ride and Provincial Rally, we welcomed new members to the Chapter. This puts our total at 70 members. I encourage
them to come out to as many rides, events and meetings as possible.
Welcome new members:
Lori Rennie,
Tina Ullrich,
Riyaz Hussein,

Al’s ( unfortunate ) wet bbq and ride
We left Markham station at approximately 10:00am with about 12 bikes. Before we
got out of Scarborough we had to stop and put our rain gear on. Garry was our road
captain and he had done a great job. He took us on a great tour through the country
side and he kept us out of the rain until we arrived back in Scarborough. I personally
want to thank Garry for keeping us out of the rain and for being the road captain.
Once we were back in Scarborough, we all went back to my place for a great barbecue. I rolled out the awning and set up a tent so we could sit out side by the pool.
None of us enjoyed a swim in the pool because if we wanted to get wet all we had to
do was stand in the rain. I got Joe to barbecue for me because we all know what a
great cook he is. I want to thank Joe for cooking-- the food was great. Lori you are a
lucky lady to have such a great cook at home. I also want to thank Mike for the potato
salad, Phyllis for the apple pies and John Archer's wife Monica for the cake. The food
you all brought was great. Overall, we had a great day with lots of fun. It's always
great to socialize with great people. I can't wait to do it all over again (minus the rain
hopefully), next year.
Thanks to all.
