Aquatic Child Care is time for the children to enjoy the water with a supervised lifeguard and/or swim instructor. The children will play skill oriented water games according to their skill level and age. No need to preregister or sign up; just show up! Personal Training Grab your team and join us in this super fun spinoff of the sport water polo. Players don’t have to tread water because the whole game is played while sitting in inflatable inner tubes! Games are Thursday nights starting at 7:30pm. League is July 10 – Aug. 21 (Playoffs Aug. 21) Each team must have 10 players with a minimum of 4 women on each roster. Minimum of 4 teams required. Want a personal trainer to help you reach your fitness goals?! We now offer training with a certified trainer either in the water or on land, your preference! Now is the time to get more individualized attention and specialized workouts. All sessions are 10 classes total, 2x a week, and each class is 45 minutes in length. Deep Water Fitness – You do not need to be able to swim to participate as buoyancy belts are used. Zero joint impact with muscle toning and flexibility. Zumba Fitness - Exhilarating, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party. Deep/Shallow Cardio –Hardcore workout for any level and focuses on core strength, cardio and toning. Aqua Zumba – Zumba Fitness in the water! Yoga – Experience relaxation through slow movements, building good posture, and increasing flexibility & balance through stretching and breathing techniques. All levels welcome! Total Body Toning – Get ready to sweat! Mixes traditional callisthenic and body weight exercises with interval and strength training. There’s so much to do- come read a book, watch a movie, do experiments and/or crafts, win prizes, and watch some amazing performers- and it’s all free! Sign-ups begin June 2nd and the program runs from June 20th to August 15th. End of Summer Party Thursday, August 14 from 1:00-4:00pm Join us for a summer party for all ages in Library Park with hot dogs, ice cream, face painting, and entertainment. Final raffles for the summer reading program will be drawn on this day, so make sure all completed forms are submitted before. 12 Teen Volunteer Opportunities Teens 14 and older may volunteer at the library in two ways: as a teen library assistant or as a event helper. To become a volunteer, fill out a complete City of Woodburn High School Student Volunteer Application found on the City of Woodburn website or pick one up at the library and drop it off with the Teen Librarian.
