Aircraft: N479TC; ’78 Cessna 152 Claim #: Not Provided ag e Insured: Florida Flight Training Center, et al. Overall view of N479TC as found on March 28, 2016, at Bartow Municipal Airport. The aircraft was recovered from the runway by mechanics from Aircraft Engineering, a local aircraft repair shop. Another overall view of N479TC. 3. The aircraft’s empennage was not damaged. 4. The aircraft’s propeller contacted the ground after the aircraft’s nose gear collapsed. The tips of both blades are curled aft, which usually means that at the time of the strike the engine power setting was at or near idle. 9. This is a detailed view of one of the aircraft’s propeller blades. The bend is significant and clearly beyond repair. 10. The red arrow notes an area of the fuselage aft of the firewall that is wrinkled. 11. When the nose gear collapsed the lower portion of the engine cowling on the port side contacted the ground. Given the limited amount of abrasions, the stop was probably abrupt. 12. The corrosion around the light is indicative of the environment wherein N479TC is based. There is a lot of surface corrosion on this aircraft. 13. The lower firewall and fuselage were damaged when the aircraft’s nose gear folded back. 14. The red arrows note the wrinkles in the firewall and the bending/fracture of the part of the engine mount that supports the nose wheel assembly. 15. Red arrow highlights a wrinkle in the bottom of the fuselage aft of the firewall. 16. When the aircraft’s nose gear folded aft the aircraft’s left wing tip contacted the ground. This damage is superficial. 17. This is a photo of an area of crevice corrosion, which was being treated by the policyholder’s mechanic. 18. This is another example of crevice corrosion found on the outboard edge of the left aileron. 19. More crevice corrosion found beneath the left wing. 20.
