The Terminix Brand
The Terminix brand is more than a type face or color. The identity system
is made up of many elements – carefully chosen tools – that work together
to create a distinctive image and tone. These basic guidelines will introduce
the Terminix logo and other important identity elements. Our identity
offers an opportunity to standardize and focus the Terminix brand in all
communication. If your communications have a brand message, they must
also have the Terminix brand identity as described in these pages.

Tool Kit
Please review these standards and refer to them often as you develop
Terminix pieces. Our identity will have the most impact when these standards
are consistently and carefully followed. So all materials (printed, online, etc.)
must incorporate the proper logo and other identity elements.
White backgrounds create a clean framing of Terminix green (PMS 357) and
also work to suggest a clean, pristine environment preserved by Terminix
service. The green then represents Terminix as a grounded, stable, powerful
solution. The white and green combination also portrays Terminix as a very
modern, innovative and empathetic brand.
It has been our experience that on rare occasions these guidelines can be
impractical for some projects. In these instances, any alternative graphic
solutions must be approved by Kevin Kowalski ([email protected])
and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Logos
The Terminix logo MUST NOT be altered in any way. Reproduce the Terminix logo only from the
authorized reproduction artwork provided.
The 4-color logo lock-up should
be used in all CMYK ads.
The black logo lock-up should be used
on all black and white ads and when
imaging the logo.

Logo Clearance
To keep the Terminix logo free of distracting elements, it should always be surrounded
by a generous amount of space. Use the note below for the minimum amount of space
that should surround the logo. When available, greater open space is recommended.
NOTE: The logo should have a clearance the height of the capital P in the tagline around
the entire logo.
Incorrect Logo Usage
The logo should not be reversed in advertising.
(An exception is made on some collateral pieces but requires
express permission.)
Do not print logo in dark colors on a dark background.
Do not print logo in white on a light background.
Do not attempt to recreate the logo using another type font.
The logo should not be reversed.

Photography
A robust library of pest and termite images is being built from recent shoots.
The philosophy is “real is best,” so first utilize the real images of pests that have
been acquired. For more flexibility, CGI images are an option. Photography of
people should also take on a more real, photojournalist style and color. Less
posed or staged shots.
In keeping with the Terminix brand tone, imagery should be serious rather than
comedic. Illustrations and animations should have photo-realistic quality. When
possible, it’s preferred that background imagery be mostly white and sparse.
