Running Ribbon Pin-ups Kit
Use these pin-ups as a fun way to encourage friends, family members and co-workers to
make a donation to your Race for the Cure® Fundraising goal. Set a price for the pin-ups
and ask others to donate. Everyone who donates can write their name or why they race
on their pin-up.
Step 1: Print them


Print out the pin-ups or stop by the affiliate office to pick-up some pre-printed ones.
There are two pin-ups per sheet. Be sure to cut across the dotted grey line.
Step 2: Make the Ask

Ask friends and family members to “purchase” a pin-up. You set the price. It could be
as little as a $1.00 donation or as large as you would like.
Step 3: Personalize it


Ask the donor to write a special message about why they race or just ask them to
write their name.
Collect the personalized pin-ups and bring them on race day to be hung up. If the
donor wants to keep their pin-up, that’s okay too.
Step 4: Keep Track


Collect the donor’s name and if possible, email address on the attached sheet. If the
donation is greater than $250 please collect their mailing address so we can send
them an acknowledgement letter for tax deduction purposes. If a donor pays by
check, please write the check number next to their name. If they pay with cash, just
write “cash”. Examples are included on the tracking sheet.

Step 5: Turn them in


On race day or at packet pickup, stop by the donations table and turn in your pin-ups
fundraising tracking sheet.
Bring all of your pin-ups to packet-pickup or on Race day and we will hang them on a
special wall to display for all race participants.
Step 6: Thank your donors



Be sure to thank your donors.
If you collected their emails, make a photocopy of your fundraising tracking sheet and
email each donor after the race with a photo of your pin-ups on display at the race.
Or post the photo on social media and publically thank your donors that way. Use
