Welcome'sunshine'and'warmer'weather!'After'such'a'rainy'
spring,' I'am'ready'for'more'frequent' appearances'of'the'sun.'I'
for'one'will'do'my'very'best'to'not'complain'about' the'heat'
when'summer comes'to'stay!'
As'the'school'year'comes'to'a'close,'it'is'a'time'of'transition'
from'the'monotony'of'school'work'and'activities'to'the'more'
carefree'summer'days.'For'graduates,'preparations' for'the'next'
steps;'whatever'they'may'be,'are'being'made.'It’s'a'time'when'
many'take'summer'vacations,'whether'that'means'a'
“staycation”'with'various'local'destinations,' the'pool,' the'
beach,'the'zoo,'Botanical' Gardens,' Busch'Gardens,' day'or'
weekend'trips' to'DC,'the'Outer'Banks'or'vacations'to'other' fun'
locales.'It'is'generally'a'time'when'many'take'time'off'from'
work'to'spend'time'with' family'making'lasting'memories.'Enjoy'

Bayside(Youth( Missions
A'special'thank'you'to'all'who'support' our'youth'
mission'trip' endeavors.'There'are'anonymous'
benefactors' who'give'regularly'to'the'Youth'Mission'
Fund,'those'who'support' Youth'Mission'fundraisers,' the'
generous'support' of'Presbyterian'Women'and'Men,'and'
those'who'pledge'to'the'general'fund,' a'portion' of'which'
goes'directly' to'Youth'Mission.'It'takes'a'village'to'raise'
our'children,' and'BaysideMMour'community'of'faithMMsets'a'
wonderful' example!
Each'year'our' teens'are'invited'to'share'in'a'mission'
experience.' 'If'they'are'with'us'for'the'four'years'of'high'
school,' they'will'experience' mission'work'in'a'rural'
setting,' and'urban'setting,' a'disaster'site,'and'an'
international' trip.'This'gives'our'teens'the'opportunity' to'
see'four'different' types'of'mission'fields,'and'to'hopefully'

visited'the'PCUSA'website'and'learned'that'the'Presbyterian' Office'of'Public' Witnessis the'public' policy'information'
and'advocacy'office'of'the'General'Assembly'of'the'Presbyterian' Church' (U.S.A.).'Its'task'is'to'advocate,'and'help'
the'church' to'advocate,'the'social'witness'perspectives' and'policies' of'the'Presbyterian' General'Assembly.'Ministry'

always'does'our'Bible' study'and'a'fun'activity.''We'ate'lunch' at'Kitty'Hawk'Grill' and'shopped' at'Belk'then'went'back'
to'the'house'for'dinner.''The'next'morning'we'had'our'Bible' study'on'the'top'deck.''Since'we'had'finished'all'of'the'
lessons'in'the'Undaunted' book,'Joan'Farr'did'a'lesson'on'Pentecost.''We'all'wore'red'shirts' for'the'occasion.''In'the'
afternoon' some'of'the'gals'went'to'the'beach,' some'went'shopping,' and'some'just'sat'in'the'porch'in'the'swings.''
We'went'to'dinner' at'The'Salt'Box'where'we'sat'outside'since'it'was'a'beautiful' evening.''We'had'not' been'back'at'
the'house'long,'when'the'sky'let'loose.''Both' nights'we'played'a'game'called'Catch' Phrase'which' seems'to'be'the'
game'of'choice' for'circle' 8.''Sunday'morning'we'went'to'church' at'the'Duck'United' Methodist'Church.' 'We'always'
have'a'wonderful' time'at'our'circle' retreats' and'they'just'seem'to'get'better' and'better' each'year'and'go'by'too'
quickly.''We'ate,'shopped,' played'Catch' Phrase,'had'our' Bible'study,'and'enjoyed'each'other’s' company'and'are'
eagerly'awaiting'next'year’s'retreat!'
