French Pleat Top Treatment
Our drapery panels are now available with French Pleat top
treatment (additional charge applies). Our pleats are
tri-folded and spaced approximately five inches apart with
three inch returns on each edge of the panel. The return is
the area of the top treatment between the final pleat and the
edge of the panel.
Panels are pre-pinned with hooks placed 1/2” below the top
edge of the panel.
Fabric is bunched together to create pleats, this reduces the
panel coverage width by approximately 50%. For example, a
panel with a listed width of 54“ will measure 27” in width after
pleating.
Pleats are available on panels up to 115” in length. Pleating
adds an additional 5 business days to the leadtime.

Drapery Pins
French Pleat Top Treatment Pricing
The additional charge for French Pleat top treatment on standard width
panels is $95 (retail) per panel. Use the Rod Pocket pricing to determine
the base panel price and add $95 for pleating. For custom width panels,
French Pleat top treatment may be added for no additional charge. See
custom width panel pricing below for more details.
Custom Width Panels
Our panels are also available in 1 1/2 and double width sizes (additional charge applies). For these wider widths, we sew together
two panels. When sewing panels together, the fabric pattern may not always align exactly the same along the vertical edge
where the panels are sewn together. Custom widths and/or pleating add an additional 5 business days to the leadtime.
Custom Width Panel Pricing
The additional charge for Custom Width panels is $190 (retail). For example - since two standard panels will be used to make the
wider custom width panel, use the price of two standard panels and add the Custom Width charge of $190 (retail).
For all custom width panels, French Pleat top treatment may be added for no additional charge. To price French
Pleats on a custom width panel, use Rod Pocket pricing and only add the custom width additional charges as noted above.

1) Measure the distance between the BOTTOM screw hole marks
for each bracket on the Bracket Mounting Template. This is the
Coverage Width. See illustration at left.
2) Using the Fullness Chart below, select the panel widths
corresponding to your coverage width. We recommend
approximately two-times fullness.
About Fullness
The curtain widths specified on our price list represent the flat,
stretched out width of each curtain. To achieve the look of fullness
when the curtain is closed (as pictured below), the curtain has been
gathered to 50% of its flat width. Accordingly, two curtain panels
would be needed to cover the actual flat, stretched-out width of
this curtain. In industry terms, this is defined as “two-times fullness.”
The amount of fullness varies with taste, but where the curtains are
the primary window covering, we recommend two-times fullness.

Floor
We offer single, 1-1/2 and double widths. Using the chart below,
determine which panel width will provide the proper fullness for
your coverage width. For example, if your coverage width is 100”,
we recommend using two, double width panels.
The window pictured below shows a window covered by two curtain panels
with approximately two-times fullness. Note how the rod pocket top treatment
of each panel has been gathered to provide fullness to the curtain, creating the
pleated look running the vertical length of the curtain.

2) Place the Bracket Mounting Template above the corner
of your window. Measure from the BOTTOM screw hole
to the floor. This is your Starting Length.
See illustration at left.
3) Use the sizing chart below, determine adjustments to
your Starting Length for the top treatment and hardware
styles you will be using. The sizing chart will place your
curtain 1” +/- from the floor. When installing, you can fine
tune your length by adjusting the final bracket placement
appropriately.

4) To achieve a “puddled” look with your curtain in which
the bottom of the curtain puddles on the floor, adjust
your measurements to add the extra length desired.
A standard puddled look can be achieved by adding 6”
to the length of the curtain.
