Model Plus polyurethane is the result of several years of research and development to obtain a perfect balance between adhesion, abrasion, appearance and
flexibility. These important properties add resistance to the flooring surface in addition to a remarkable gloss finish. This much sought-after balance is exclusive to
Model, giving the company a clear advantage over the competition.
Adhesion
Model uses exclusive technology for exceptional bonding of the polyurethane to
wood boards.
Flexibility
While respecting hardness characteristics, Model has also achieved the best
resistance/flexibility ratio in the industry. The flexibility of Model finishes prevents the finish
from flaking in case of impact.
Abrasion
To ensure that flooring boards withstand the test of time, Model applies an exclusive product
known as Model Plus polyurethane to each. Model Plus contains aluminum oxide and this

PG Hardwood Flooring and Model Hardwood are FSC certified for their chains of custody. The incentive
underlying this approach is to support sustainable forest management to preserve forest capital.
Given our concern for forest-harvesting practices, PG and Model seek to help most of our suppliers to
become FSC accredited. Suppliers must endorse sound forest management, consider environmental
issues and social impacts and remain economically viable. Much of our supply of exotic species
(from Brazil), along with birch, maple and red oak, originate from FSC suppliers accredited for their
chains of custody.
The consumer purchasing hardwood flooring with the FSC logo is assured that the forest of origin
has been managed in an environmentally friendly manner. By the same token, the consumer contributes to increased demand for this kind of product.
