HONKY TWO
Carlos Yañez, guitar, voice. Joan Ventosa, piano
De esta forma tamizan versiones de Ray Charles, Magic Slim, B.B. King, Otis
Rush, Freddie King, Duke Robillard o Junior Watson.
Guitarra y piano para construir veladas de auténticos “beer joint”, donde lo
importante es el sentimiento no la pirotecnia que se utilice, como si de una
primitiva “juke box” se tratara.
Duo formed by two veterans of the music scene, Joan Ventosa at the piano and
Carlos Yañez on guitar and vocals, for years dedicated to each other tasks and
finally decided to join forces to launch a long-term project.
Their proposal involves performing versions of classic blues of a very austere
and personal way, from acoustic blues of the Mississippi to the electric blues of
Chicago, without neglecting the West Coast and the sound of New Orleans.
With a sketch almost extracted from the "Barrelhouse" and "honky tonk" New
Orleans sound is sincere and intimate, full of feeling, very close and always
looking for feedback from the public. In this way perform versions of Ray
Charles, Magic Slim, B.B. King, Otis Rush, Freddie King, Duke Robillard or
Junior Watson.
Guitar and piano evenings to build a real "beer joint", where what matters is the
feeling.

or even bossa blues to listen and enjoy. Thanks to Mireia´s warm voice and a
lot of years of work, listening to them becomes a big pleasure.
Friday 30 December 18,00 h: Blues & dixieland with:
CASI EL MEJOR TRIO DE TU VIDA
Mikha, violin, banjo y voice, Artem Hul`yev, saxophone, Maria Puertas, tuba
It is a new musical band that has stunned this ones who had the chance to
listen them on live. Very difficult to classify, his personality is based on the
cultural miscegenation that provide three musicians from different countries and
cultures, with three very different concepts of what the blues and AfricanAmerican music is and three different instruments. Intense, irreverent way,
mixing banjo, tuba and saxophone to deploy a repertoire of Dixieland and blues
what surely is a hurricane of entertainment.
