LAS VEGAS RETRO POP PUNK BAND, PET TIGERS, SIGN WITH SQUIDHAT RECORDS.
NEW ALBUM SCHEDULED FOR SPRING 2013 RELEASE
Las Vegas, NV, January 7, 2013 - SquidHat Records is proud to announce the signing of Pet
Tigers, a popular Las Vegas garage pop trio. The Pet Tigers will begin recording their debut
album in February tobe released by SquidHat Records later this year. A CD Release show is
being planned at the world-famous Double Down Saloon in Las Vegas.
“Pet Tigers have a fun, unique and edgy sound that is catchy, irreverent and accomplished
entirely without guitars.” said SquidHat Records President and founder, Allan Carter. “They write
incredibly infectious modern pop punk with a retro vibe and are a great fit for the label.”
Formed in 2008, Pet Tigers, made up of Ryan Acorci (bass/ vocals), Liz Ofte (Keyboards/vocals) and Jesse Moran (drums) create catchy,
upbeat feel good music with one foot firmly in the glorious past.
Their sound is a mash-up of three chord pop punk, surf rock, electronic music, new wave, post punk, low-fi, and garage – a sound their
fans call “Tiger Rock” - , with no shortage of nods to their influences. From Blondie, the Ramones, New Order, and No Doubt to the
Beach Boys, Joy Division, Cyndi Lauper & Erasure, all without losing their unmistakable, original sound.
Pet Tigers don't write music "by the book." Ryan's
punk past combined with Jesse's solid backbeat and
Liz's 80's synth keyboards and incredibly distinctive
vocal style bring many diverse elements to their
music. Without a guitar in sight they create a modern
sound with a retro feel, highlighted by Liz's now
legendary keytar, which makes them an instant stand
out.
Pet Tigers first full length album will be released in the
spring of 2013, by SquidHat Records, with extensive

Allan started playing music professionally at age 14 in his hometown of Baltimore. A career musician, Allan has recorded and toured with
many bands during his 25 year career including Invasion, Sex & Sin, SwingFace and Groove Syndicate in Baltimore, and most recently Hit
Me Baby and Attack Ships On Fire in Portland, Ore. Allan sincerely hopes his experience and resources will provide an artist friendly voice
to some of the many talented bands he has been fortunate enough to see perform over the last few years.
About Mike Bell - SquidHat Records Vice President
Mike began performing at the age of six and led him to study trumpet performance at the highly acclaimed University of Oregon School
of Music. Mike has been either singing or playing trumpet, in touring bands ranging from jazz, to hard rock, to metal, to punk for 20
years. Mike is currently singing for the Portland based punk rock outfit Attack Ships On Fire as well as the punk rock tribute to Britney
Spears, Hit Me Baby. With more than three decades of writing, recording, engineering, producing, and performing he offers a wealth of
knowledge regarding the music industry.
