2011 Annual Community Report
2011 Annual Community Report
Capturing the events of a full year in a report like this is impossible. How do you measure the
success or effectiveness of a ministry?
Our finances are on the positive side of the ledger and our ratings are phenomenal - a miracle
for a new radio station launching in the midst of a difficult economy.
But those statistics pale compared to the real bottom line for this ministry: God used The Bridge
to connect people to each other and to Himself. He used The Bridge to strengthen individuals
and families and churches. And He showed us that His Word really does not return void - taking
Christian music to tens of thousands of people and using it to change lives.
We couldn’t do this without you. Thank you for your support of 88.7 The Bridge.
Bill Sammons
General Manager
Hey everybody!
Thanks for being an important part of making a great difference in so many lives throughout
Delaware, the Eastern Shore, and South Jersey.
Your generosity enabled over 28,000 listeners to tune in every week last year. That’s easily
hundreds of thousands of moments when people were connected and strengthened in a new
way due to your giving to the mission of 88.7 The Bridge. I consider you a fellow-worker in this
ministry and am looking forward to being in heaven with you to see you get a first-hand view
of the lasting impact of your gifts.
Let’s have another great year!
Doug Sands
Director Donor Relations
Thank you to all the amazing Ministry Partners who offer your support monthly and annually to
The Bridge. You have been a source of strength, and we know that a bridge without strong
support cannot stand.
Your organization is being used by God to help us “connect and strengthen” and you are
helping lead people into a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
I consider it a privilege to work alongside of you. Thanks for making a statement that your
organization stands for the Lord and supports the ministry of 88.7 The Bridge!

• Accomplished so much more!
“Your radio station has brought
me back to Christ, in a time
that I thought I was lost. Thank
you ~ the music you have
played has inspired messages
from Christ to my heart. To a
point, that in my car, I would
have to pull over, because
my heart had been so broken,
then sewed back together
with the words from your station. I know that it was Christ
through those words talking to
me and helping me...I found
myself crying so hard that I
could not even drive.”
- Debbie B.
“I want to thank you for the
deep breath I received today
as you guys served us at the
honor event. I am not one to
stop for very long, but am very
thankful that today was a wonderful time to see others in ministry come together. Thank you
for your hearts to have a station
that not only blesses the area
with life giving music but also
brings unity in the body through
these types of events. Let’s rock
on being the Kingdom here on
earth all for HIS glory.”
- Rob B.
“I was so excited because I finally found a
Christian radio station that is light-hearted but
committed to their mission, has good music
with the right amount of talk in-between, a nice
mix of little blips like the marriage minute, money management, and special guests. You’ve
been open to different artists, music and events
and WOW you have no clue how much this
means and does to a young Christian like me.
(After losing my finance in a car accident and
other tragedies) I am only inching toward the
light; but through this station’s songs and messages, and all the prayers I received on the
“Prayer Works” page, I have tremendous help.
So thank you for this station and please keep
doing all that you do…you help mend broken
hearts and help repair broken spirits.”
