Icom America Releases IC-7300 HF Amateur Transceiver
KIRKLAND, Wash. (March 2016) – Icom America announces the new IC-7300 HF transceiver radio. Icom’s new
rig features an RF direct sampling system, an industry first technology for an entry-level amateur radio. Other
features include but are not limited to: RMDR and phase noise characteristics, and a touch screen interface with
waterfall function and a high-resolution spectrum scope.
Icom’s IC-7300 utilizes an RF direct sampling system which is a departure from conventional superheterodyne
system. RF signals are directly converted to digital data and reduces noise generated from different IF stages.
Improved RMDR and superior phase noise characteristics reduce noise components in both receive and transmit
signals.
The IC-7300 also utilizes as a large color TFT 4.3-inch touch screen. This promotes intuitive operation and
features such as a high-resolution waterfall function and real-time spectrum scope. These combined features
assists in maximum receive performance and allows users to find weak signals that would not be otherwise be
apparent on the spectrum scope. The radio’s audio scope function observes various AF functions including
microphone compressor level, filter width and more.
Additional IC-7300 features include 15 discrete band-pass filters, built-in automatic antenna tuner, multi-dial knob
for smooth operation and an SD memory card slot for saving data. For more information on Icom’s new IC-7300
