“MTR Advertising The Best of the Best Awards 2012” Awards Ceremony
Top Honour for Canon’s LIVE FULL and HSBC’s Mindmapping HK
(Hong Kong, 19th March 2013) “MTR Advertising The Best of the Best Awards 2012”, jointly
organised by MTR Corporation and JCDecaux Transport, was successfully rounded off with
an awards ceremony held at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong last night. With the presence of
300 executive representatives from the advertising industry, academy, related business and
corporations, the annual event recognised the outstanding achievements and creative
excellence in MTR* Advertising in 2012.
The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited’s Mindmapping HK
campaign was a big winner with three awards - the “Best of the Best - Use of Media”
Platinum Award, “Best Interactive Campaign” Gold Award and “Best Innovative Campaign”
Gold Award. The interactive TV wall featured in this campaign used motion sensor
technology, which successfully engaged passengers and was the longest of its kind in Hong
Kong. Canon Hong Kong Co., Ltd.’s LIVE FULL garnered both the “Best of the Best –
Creative” Platinum Award and the “Best Poster Campaign” Gold Award. The campaign
featured a series of breathtaking images in full view, complimented by tag lines that began
with the words “Full of”.
Hong Kong Disneyland Resort’s Grizzly Gulch – A Runaway Adventure was awarded
“My Favourite Campaign” Platinum Award through public voting during January and
February. This campaign innovatively created an immersive journey for passengers with 3D
illustration floor sticker and poster-on-wall. “My Favourite TVC” Gold Award was awarded to
City Chain Co. Ltd.’s 100 Years of Love which was also a widely successful campaign.

The Best of the Best Awards has received enthusiastic support from advertisers, members
of the advertising industry and the public since its launch in 2002. All advertising campaigns
that were launched in the MTR* and Airport Express from 1st January to 31st December of
the award year were automatically qualified as entrants to the Awards. This year, over 80
