COMPANY PROFILE
Jobe Valves specialize in the manufacture and distribution of float operated valves.
The Jobe product range has many applications in the fields of agriculture and light industry.
Jobe Valves Ltd is focused on developing, manufacturing and distributing innovative float operated valves and
associated equipment.
Founded in Matamata New Zealand in 1967 by Jim Jobe, the company is still family owned and is now operated
by the founder’s sons David and Robin.
Jobe Valves were originally developed as high flow valves for use in drinking water troughs on dairy farms.
While still mainly used in agriculture, Jobe Valves can be found in many light industrial and process situations
such as evaporative cooling systems and high pressure cleaning equipment.
Although New Zealand remains a significant market, the majority of Jobe Valves production is exported. The
product is marketed through distributors in Australia, North America, the United Kingdom and Ireland. Product
is also present in Europe, South America, Africa and Asia where markets are being explored and developed.

Description
Rojo Float Valves are float operated valves for automatic filling of water storage vessels. The Rojo can be
mounted above or below water level. It is a simple mechanically operated valve. The Rojo is a good
choice where its low flow is sufficient and its compact non corrosive construction is beneficial.

PRODUCT INFO
Description
RoJo Part Fill is a low flow valve intended for use in rain water harvesting tanks. The purpose of the float valve is to
automatically maintain a low level of water in the tank during periods of no or low rainfall. This allows services fed by the
tank to continue while leaving capacity in the tank for refilling by the next rain.
Applications
Outline of Operation
• Rain water harvesting tanks
• Water cisterns
• Irrigation and process
applications.
• The valve is installed through the side wall of a
storage tank. It should be mounted above the
overflow level of the tank to prevent backflow.
• As the tank empties the weighted float travels
down the cord and sits on the bottom stop to
activate the valve.
Flow Graph
• The valve will run until the weighted float lifts
clear of the bottom stop.

con¿gured for underwater mounting only. The Àoat is connected to the valve with a nylon cord, this operates
a pilot valve, when the water level drops, the pilot valve is opened and the main diaphragm valve is activated.

Topaz Differential valves are ideal for use in water tanks which are ¿lled by a pressure system controlled water pump.
The valve gives a level difference which is adjustable from 50mm up to 2.5m to minimise starting and stopping of the
pumping system.
!PPLICATIONS
0RINCIPLEOF/PERATION
• Water Cisterns
• The valve mounts at the top of the tank.
It ¿ts easily through a thin walled tank or
screws into a threaded tank inlet.

• As the tank empties the weighted Àoat
travels down the cord until it hits the
bottom stop. The valve then opens
immediately to give a full Àow.
• The valve now runs constantly and the
weighted Àoat rises until it hits the upper
Àoat stop. This lifts the arm and the
valve shuts down.
• Observe the pressure that your pump
runs at while the tank is ¿lling. Set the
pressure switch to turn the pump off
at a pressure at least one bar above the
running pressure.

The valve is con¿gured for underwater mounting only. The Àoat is connected to the valve with a nylon cord, this operates
a pilot valve, when the water level drops, the pilot valve is opened and the main diaphragm valve is activated. Vortex is a good

Vortex Differential valves are ideal for use in water tanks which are ¿lled by a pressure system controlled water pump. The
valve gives a level difference
rence which is adjustable from 50mm to 2.5m to minimise starting and stopping of the pumping system.

$ESCRIPTION
Vortex Part Fill is a high Àow valve intended for use in rain water harvesting tanks. The purpose of the Àoat valve is to
automatically maintain a low level of water in the tank during periods of no or low rainfall. This allows services fed by the tank
to continue while leaving capacity in the tank for re¿lling by the next rain.

Description
Frostpro is a device that fits Topaz and Vortex Valves to minimize freezing in cold weather conditions. It is manually operated
and when turned on allows a continuous flow of water through the valve to assist in the prevention of water freezing in the valve
and pipe work supplying it.
