capacity of 90000 MT and holds a leadership position in Crankshafts and Stub Axles manufacturing

10 plants spread across Germany and UK. Over 180 years of European experience helps Mahindra

Global multi-locational forging capacities make MFL one amongst top 5 forging companies in the
world. The company has a combined European capacity of 185000 MT. The forging capacity

GEARS (INDIA OPERATIONS)
Mahindra Gears and Transmissions Pvt. Ltd. (MGTPL) is Mahindra Systech’s Gear manufacturing
facility at Rajkot in Gujarat. MGTPL is serving major Indian OEMs for more than 15 years, with a
production capacity of over 3 million Gears per year.
We manufacture DIN 8/9 class of finished gears in module range of 1.5-8. The company is
progressive and constantly expanding capabilities with the latest being initial inroads into Profile
Grinding capability (DIN 7) acquired in 2008.
We manufacture Spur, Helical and Straight bevel Gears of a wide variety. We are moving towards
supply of sub-assemblies like Machined differential cases and Transfer case assembly; enhancing

Established in 1952, MetalCastello is Mahindra Systech’s Gear manufacturing unit in Bologna - Italy,
serving a range of customers producing earthmoving machines to agricultural tractors to specialty

We produce over 2 Mn Gears/Shafts every year with over 1800 active partlines from a factory

Mahindra Ugine Steel Co. Ltd. (MUSCO) located at Khopoli, near Mumbai is a premier manufacturer
of alloy steel and specialty steels in India. Started in1962, having a current installed capacity of
240000 MT including recent addition of 120000MT.

RINGS DIVISION - MUSCO
The latest initiative of MUSCO Steel is in the area of Ring Rolling as a forward integration of Steel for
customers from Bearings Industry. The division is co-located at Khopoli (near Mumbai) Steel plant.
The current capacity of Ring Rolling Division is 30000MT.
MUSCO Rings Division has 6 lines to manufacture axi symmetric annular rings both through closed
die forging and seamless ring rolling processes. These lines are supported by suitable induction
heaters and heat treatment facilities. Our future expansion plans include CNC turned, Case
Carburized and hardened rings. We have plans to expand capabilities to handle Rings upto 4m OD
from current level of 800mm OD.

operates from three state-of-the-art sheet metal facilities located near important Automotive OEM
