The EnTouch One Remote Sensor Module
The EnTouch Remote Sensor Module is designed to work with our EnTouch One EMS
family. Monitor your facilities through our cloud
based system using your computer, tablet, or
mobile device.
Monitor energy critical systems in your facility
and reduce the risk of a facility crisis with the
EnTouch Remote Sensor Module.
EnTouch One
Remote Sensor Module Features
Multiple Facility Monitoring
Our monitoring platform is designed for commercial applications. It can monitor energy usage,
temperature or can act as a contact sensor to
monitor door openings and closings. The RSM
gives total system visibility over all of your facilities.
Support for External Inputs
The system can accept inputs from static switches, motion detectors, thermal sensors, pressure
switches, current switches, alarm inputs from
smoke detectors, CO2, or water valves. Use
these inputs to facilitate problem alerts, safety
features and system performance.
Configurable Features
The system is flexible, allowing it to monitor the
most complex applications. From simple contact closure inputs to thermal sensing inputs, the
RSM can handle them all. Adapt and expand as
your facility needs grow.
Designed For Retrofit Applications
Unlike traditional wired systems, the EnTouch
Remote Sensor Module is easy to install and
doesn’t require extensive communication wiring
or programming. In fact there is no programming
required. Easy to use, quick to get started, and
cost effective for your business.
Refrigeration Monitoring
The EnTouch EMS can monitor refrigeration
temperatures and defrost cycles and alert when
problems arise, allowing business owners to become more energy efficient, detect hidden maintenance issues and benchmark energy performance across locations.
Pulse Metering
The Remote Sensor Module also supports pulse
input, which allows it to track water, electricity
and gas consumption. With this functionality, a
restaurant can track real-time utility consumption and compare multiple facilities from a cloud
based management portal.

Connecting to a 24V Source:
You can use existing 24V system in place or you can use the EnTouch 120V to 24V plug-in
transformer. EnTouch Part Number: TT000936
1. Run 24V power to the RSM from power source
2. Attach 24V to “24VAC” C and R (as shown in examples)
9
Connecting the EnTouch One
Remote Sensor Module to the HVAC Controller
Your EnTouch One Remote Sensor Module connects to the web management portal through your
EnTouch One Master Controller.
To connect the RSM:
1. Select the menu icon on the Master Controller
2. Select Setup and Troubleshoot
3. Select Connect Devices
4. Select Remote Sensor
5. Your RSM should appear on this list. Connect the
device to the controller by selecting the device
6. Once the RSM is connected to the master controller, The device status will show a green box
with the word “Connected”. The RSSI and LQI will
also show up in a green box if a connection has a
strong connection. If the box is red or yellow, the
signal is weak and needs to be moved closer to the
master controller or connected to a master controller that is closer to the RSM.

Advanced Tab
Specify a category and sensor type for each of the
remote sensors.
All remote sensors belonging to the same Category
will appear within the same graph on the Sensors
graph page. A sensor category must be defined in
the Facility Preferences Setup page in order to appear in the Category list.
Note: More than one sensor can be applied to a category including different sensor types allowing them to
appear on the same graph.
Note: For Digital sensors, you will be able to specify
if activation occurs on ‘Open’ or ‘Close’, and assign a
custom label for Active and Inactive states.
Select the appropriate category so the sensor input will appear on the correct graph.
Category
• Do not display
• Display (the device name will be displayed)
Type
Note: For temperature sensors select 10k Type 2, 10k
• 10k Type 2
Type 3 or 20k Type 4. (Factory is not used)
• 10k Type 3
• 20k Type 4
For contact closure sensors, select digital.
• Factory
• Digital (should be used for dry contacts)
-The “Digital Setup” will toggle activate on Open or Closed
The Active Label should be a description of the alarm cause (ex. Door open, Area wet ect…)

Alerts Tab
This section allows you to configure and activate Maintenance Alerts for your RSM which will alert you
of potential maintenance activities.
Steps to configure and activate an alert:
• Provide the criteria for the alert.
• Specify whether alert notifications should be sent.
• Click the “Activate” checkbox to activate the alert
• Click “Save & Exit”
Temperature alerts under the performance tab require a temperature set point and duration that the
set point is exceeded before generating an alert.
Digital alerts under the performance tab require a
duration and also allow for a custom message.
Note: Contacts and alerting preferences are set up
under FACILITY INFORMATION > CONTACTS
Step 3. Viewing Your Data On The Portal
• Go to the GRAPHS tab.
• Click on SENSORS. Choosing this would display the sensor graphs.
