May 5—Rikke Scott May 8—Cindy Phelps May 12—Theresa Skinner Twine Roundup Recycling Program Jupiter Hay is running a contest for non-profit organizations to participate in an awareness campaign to educate livestock owners (those that feed hay) to properly dispose unused twine and recycle. Did you know that the Federal Law prohibits burning or disposal of twine in regular waste/trash and you could be fined up to $10,000? Show Saddle for sale. $600 obo. The group with the most baling twine , determined by weight, will receive a $500 donation from Jupiter Hay. Linda Mulkey will be in charge of collecting the twine. The ride was approximately three hours and not advised for green riders or horses. If you have an article, poem, news item, etc. please submit to: [email protected] Volume 9 Issue 5 Page 6 Corral Raffle—Drawing to be held at our September Trail Trial Page 7 HD Hoof Prints HDH Trail Trial Cerena Cooper is in charge of this year’s HDH Trail Trial which will be held on September 14th at Scout Camp. She is in need of Judges and Volunteers for Registration, Cooking, Scoring, and all around general help. Donations are being accepted for a trail trial raffle. In addition, we also have a continuous raffle throughout the year for portable horse panels. The drawing will be held at the trail trial. NEW THIS YEAR—Obstacle and Award Sponsors. Obstacle Sponsors will have a sign with their name at their obstacle and their name on the route map. Obstacle sponsors are $50 each. Award Sponsors are from $25 -$50. A table will be at the event for all sponsors to put out literature if they wish. HDH can arrange for literature to be picked up and the leftovers returned to the sponsors. All sponsors will be individually mentioned during the awards ceremony, have a link to their organization on our website and a spot in our newsletter.
