Since 1947 Ketchie, Inc formerly known as Ketchie-Houston has been supplying industry with
premium mounted bearing units, custom spur gear products, precision machining and precision
grinding. Today we enjoy an excellent reputation with both original equipment manufacturers
and industrial distributors throughout the country. Our customers include machine tool, printing,
textile machinery, agricultural, oil field, mining and lumber industries to name a few.

gears and sprockets are no problem. Precision machined components and precision grinding to

We’re not obsolete but we are your number one source for obsolete Fafnir mounted units. Our
mounted units feature premium ductile iron housings with your choice of Timken, SKF,
Sealmaster or AMI inserts. If you need a simple modification to a standard housing or a
complete custom housing to your specifications we are your number one source with years of
experience.
Our shop is equipped with everything from conventional equipment to state of the art CNC
machines to handle your job with maximum efficiency. A wide range of equipment includes
gear cutting, turning, grinding, broaching, milling and drilling.
Ketchie manufactures quality custom spur gear products. Our CNC and manual lathes are used
to make small to medium quantity lots of blanks to a measured diameter of 20 inches. We cut
spur gears from steel, stainless, bronze, phenolic and delrin plastic.
The most modern plant, the latest machines and skilled workers are not sufficient to assure a
quality product. Each manufacturing step must be checked to assure conformity to the tolerance
specifications. Ketchie, Inc assures top quality by constant “In Process” inspection by our
highly skilled quality assurance department using state of the art inspection equipment.
