2015 saw our wish for Eco Hotel of The Year come true as we won the award
once and came second twice. These measures are now permanent at Llangoed.
Then of course we won The Sunday Times number one restaurant in Wales,
along with a new entry in The Good Food Guide.
2016 will see us join the prestigious Relais & Chateaux marketing consortia,
in our push to be recognised as one of the best hotels in the UK.

Brecon Jazz Festival is a music festival held on an annual basis
in the rural surroundings of Brecon Beacons.
It plays host to a range of jazz musicians who travel from across the world
to take part and to many visiting tourists who are attracted by the music,
the social scene and the other leisure opportunities on offer in and around the Brecon Beacons.

and most importantly the peace and tranquillity of this magnificent country house.
Christmas Eve – from 2.00pm onwards - A Warm Welcome Awaits You...
Our friendly staff will show you to your room, where you can settle in at your leisure, unwind and enjoy
all that our luxurious accommodation has to offer. Cream tea is served in the Great Hall and the evening
commences with a rousing performance of traditional Christmas Carols by our local Male Voice Choir,
guaranteed to get you into the true Christmas spirit. A Champagne Reception, followed by a four course
dinner and then an optional trip to the beautiful local church for midnight mass with warm mince pies
and a warm glass of mulled wine to welcome you upon your return.
Christmas Day – Sunday 25th December 2016
After breakfast and Santa’s visit, relax in front of the crackling log fire. Enjoy our Bucks Fizz Reception.
Canapes will be served, and then you can sit back, relax and enjoy a magnificent six course luncheon
followed by freshly ground coffee and mince pies or petit fours. Tea and Mince pies are served
in the afternoon and later on and for those guests who can manage it
a light buffet dinner will bring Christmas night to a close.

Boxing Day – Monday 26th December 2016
Another hearty breakfast followed by our annual clay pigeon shooting competition.
Our expert instructor will be on hand to help and advise guests and a Winter Pimms with
warm mince pies is served to keep the cold at bay! For those guests who are feeling energetic,
there is a beautiful river walk and for those who are not, there is plenty of scope for relaxation.
Tea and Christmas cake is served in the afternoon.
After dinner, there will be a few casino tables in the Morning Room
for those guests who wish to try their luck!

When you are ready, your Cream Tea will be served in front of our crackling log fire and you can relax
and take in the tranquil ambience that the hotel has to offer. To begin the evening, we’ll spoil you with a
Champagne Reception, followed by a splendid Black Tie Gala Dinner After your meal you can dance the
night away to a Disco. As midnight approaches, we’ll invite you to join us at the front of this magnificent
building, where you can sip champagne as the haunting melody of a Highland Piper sees you into the
New Year, and the sky is alive with light and sound as our spectacular fireworks explode into life.
This is truly an evening to remember!
New Year’s Day - 1st January
Join in our New Year’s Day Clay Pigeon Shoot in the hotel grounds.
There will be prizes awarded for the best shots. All participants will be served a glass of mulled wine and
warm mince pies to keep out the winter chill! During the afternoon you can also tuck into a delicious
Welsh Afternoon Tea in the Great Hall or Morning Room and in the evening, a glass of Bucks Fizz,
followed by another memorable dinner will round off your New Year’s Celebration in style!
