Midget fights. Crazy chickens dancing to techno. Burlesque strippers on pogo sticks.
Masked Mexican wrestler acrobats.
No, it's not life on peyote. It's Lucha VaVoom, coming to the Park West this Cinco de
Mayo.
The carnival of insanity centers around a series of bouts where Nacho Libre-style
masked Mexican wrestlers in flamboyant costumes perform aerial acrobatic stunts
and square off in mock battles between good and evil.
Cassandro (in drag) vs. Dirty Sanchez? You betcha.
In between midget wrestling and large chicken attacks on the ring, burlesque dancers
(including Michelle L'amour of Naked Girls Reading) disrobe from schoolgirl outfits and
outlandish costumes.
TOP IN NIGHTLIFE
The wise-cracking announcers are known for their comedic color commentary, as DJ
“Julio Iglesias” spins theme songs for each wrestler and helps whip the crowd into a
frenzy.
If you see masked wrestlers chugging bottles of tequila and chickens diving off the
balcony into the crowd, just order a couple tamales and do the chicken dance.
