THANK YOU
The Chambers family wishes to thank the
community for standing by us during the difficult
time of Garry's sudden passing. Thanks so much
for hugs, prayers, caring, friendship and food
donations. These things were much
appreciated.
Myrtle, Jeff, Tony, Lorie and girls.
Thank you from the Harmony Centre to all who
donated food, time, and helped with expenses, to
make our post-renovation supper a success.
Thanks to The Downers and company for the
entertainment. We hope everyone enjoyed the
evening.
TRUCK NEEDED
The watering truck that the Beautification Committee
owns is on death’s door. We are in search of a new

be used for watering flowers, please send a tender
to:
Truck Tender, c/o Janet Lemon, Box 236, Maryfield
Please send your tenders in by May 20.
SENIORS HARMONY CENTRE NEWS
The Seniors Harmony Centre has now completed
the projects begun in 2015, funded by the
Government of Canada's New Horizons For
Seniors Program. One grant was to repair the 80
year old pool table. Creasy Piano and Hot Tubs did
the repairs and the pool players report that it is
much better (new players most welcome!).
A second grant was received for painting. The
entire interior was painted, as well as the cabinet
interiors (kitchen and washrooms). The trim was
taken off and painted, electric heaters cleaned and
painted and new linoleum installed in the
washrooms. New higher toilets have also been
installed.
We would like to thank everyone that helped in any
way, to give the drop-in a much needed facelift. That includes our members who did so much
prep work, painting and re-assembling; Marla and
Kelly Kay who were hired to paint the walls; Terry
and Leon Friesen who gave us a day and
accomplished what would have taken days for the
rest of us to accomplish.
Although we are very happy with the results, there
are still items that need tending to, so it is an
ongoing effort.
Again, our heartfelt thanks to all who helped.

THANK YOU
Team Erickson would like to say a huge thank you
for all the support during our journey to compete in
the Optimist U18 International Curling
Championships in Edmonton, Alberta. A special
thank you to Janet Lemon and Barb Swallow for
organizing our send off. We were very impressed
by the chants the Little Rockers preformed and the
entire team wished they were present to hear
them! Seeing all the community members that
came to support us was a great reminder of why
our little town has been put on the map and were
very proud to continue the success Maryfield has
shown in the curling world. We were honored to
represent Saskatchewan and are very grateful for
all the donations that made our experience
possible.
