SENIORS HARMONY CENTRE NEWS The Seniors Harmony Centre has now completed the projects begun in 2015, funded by the Government of Canada's New Horizons For Seniors Program. One grant was to repair the 80 year old pool table. Creasy Piano and Hot Tubs did the repairs and the pool players report that it is much better (new players most welcome!). A second grant was received for painting. The entire interior was painted, as well as the cabinet interiors (kitchen and washrooms). The trim was taken off and painted, electric heaters cleaned and painted and new linoleum installed in the washrooms. New higher toilets have also been installed. We would like to thank everyone that helped in any way, to give the drop-in a much needed facelift. That includes our members who did so much prep work, painting and re-assembling; Marla and Kelly Kay who were hired to paint the walls; Terry and Leon Friesen who gave us a day and accomplished what would have taken days for the rest of us to accomplish. Although we are very happy with the results, there are still items that need tending to, so it is an ongoing effort. Again, our heartfelt thanks to all who helped.
