SLiC™ Aerial Terminal 319
Easy Access and Reliable Protection
3M™ SLiC™ Aerial Terminal 319 is an aerial, strand-mount,
free-breathing terminal for copper application. The smaller size
terminal can be used in inline or butt splicing configurations and
can be installed very close to a pole for easy access. A new
feature of this terminal is the easy-to-open latch and place for

security lock if necessary.
3M™ SLiC™ Aerial Terminal 319
The 319 terminal closure is comprised of two separate chambers,
a distribution cable splice chamber and a drop termination
chamber. The terminal chamber is designed to accommodate up
to 10-pair configurations of multi-pair (ATS/TR Block) or single-pair
3M™ Terminal Blocks MX2000.
The double-wall molded closures are available with two types of
end seals (spiral or rubber). The end seals of the SLiC terminals
are designed to assure proper sizing and a snug fit around the
3M™ SLiC™ Aerial Terminal 319 with
ATS/TR Block
cable sheath. This eliminates the need for drip collars to prohibit
water from entering the splice chamber.
The terminal can be extended easily in both directions by cutting
a standard 3.6” X 33” SLiC closure in half.

The 3M™ IDC Block ATS/TR is a unique insulation displacement connector which
contains two IDC elements and accommodates 18-24 AWG wire without stripping
the insulation from the conductor.
3M™ Protected and Unprotected Single Pair Terminal Blocks MX2000 are designed

to operate under harsh environmental conditions. This single-pair connector is
designed to accommodate 18-24 AWG wire at the drop wire side and 22-24 AWG
wire at the cable termination side. The connectors can be snapped on IEC 715
25mm and 35mm DIN profiles.
A central disconnection area offers "both sides" testing possibilities, and over
voltage protection can be added when needed. The 319 aerial terminals are
available with MX2000 protected version also.
