tailored to accomplish each player’s individual goals and to identify
personal areas to improve with our exceptional Saddlebrook Golf
Instructors: New Player Coaching, Performance Coaching, and
Customized Premier Coaching programs; Play With A Pro playing
lessons; Private Lessons for beginners to advanced players; Junior
Camps; and Clinics. Practice what you learn on Saddlebrook’s
two 18-hole Arnold Palmer signature championship courses.
The par 71 Palmer Course features Tif-Eagle elevated greens and
manicured rolling fairways. The par 70 Saddlebrook Course, with
Tif-Dwarf greens is distinguished by its beautiful, cypress-lined,

Designed by Mike Angus, golf architect for the Phil Mickelson
Golf Course Design Company, the 16-acre Saddlebrook Golf
Training Center and Range encompasses every element of the
game as well as state-of-the-art TrackMan, SamBalanceLab, and
SamPuttLab technology. Resort guests, visitors, club members,
students and touring professionals find challenging and valuable
golf play in this multi-faceted training facility. Golfers can train
with one of our professionals or score themselves while rotating
through the practice stations.
Covering over 70,000 square feet, the Super Tee is across from
our Digital Golf Learning Studio, featuring an indoor hitting bay
and the most advanced video swing analysis software available.
TrackMan™ uses sophisticated data on moment of impact; Sam
BalanceLab, measures motion and weight transfer with a high
caliber sensor; and Sam PuttLab, diagnoses the ball’s roll after
contact with an ultrasound radar tracking system. From the back
of the Super Tee, you can drive the ball to target greens a distance
of over 300 yards (max. 360). You can also step up your short
game on the Scoring Zone, an over 10,000-square-foot green
with bunkers and multiple chipping areas.
The 12,000-square-foot Lesson Tee is designed to improve
each player’s complete game with practice shots to multiple
target greens, while specially designed mounds help players
practice every type of uphill and downhill shot. Here you’ll
find a 14,000-square-foot Tif-Eagle putting green as well as a
10,000-square-foot Wedge Green, designed to practice shots
from all types of lies from 100 to 20 yards in. Rounding out the
area is the 7,000-square-foot Chipping Green featuring MiniVerde ultra-dwarf Bermuda grass..

Our instructors identify and analyze each player’s strengths and
opportunities for improvement in golf swing techniques, play and
practice strategies, mental fitness, and mastery of the golf game. Short
game and full swing instruction focus on chipping, pitching, bunker
play, shot selection, putting, and comprehensive swing analysis.
Saddlebrook Golf Academy programs fit you to a tee, adjusting to

tailored to optimize your continued success at game improvement,

Play With A Pro
The Play With A Pro program offers one hour of instruction with
a Saddlebrook Golf Instructor, followed by an hour and a half of oncourse play with the coach. Saddlebrook Golf Academy instructors
focus on your personal goals with your golf swing and game. After
improving your technique and skills at the newly expanded 16-acre
Saddlebrook Training Center, you and your pro play on one of our
two Arnold Palmer signature golf courses. Improve your skills and
your game with a maximum of four players to one instructor.
The program offers à la carte golf playing lessons for resort guests or
visitors. Rates vary for guests who are on a resort golf package, already
including 18 holes of golf
per day, or for players
purchasing the instruction
plus the 9 holes of golf in
the playing lesson.
The first set of Play
With A Pro rates are for
resort guests who have
purchased a Saddlebrook
golf package such as the
Preferred Golfers Package, the Value Golfer Package, the Golf or Spa
Deluxe Package, or a golf group package. These guests may play the
additional nine holes of golf paid for in their package after the nine
holes played during the Play With A Pro playing lesson.

The Saddlebrook Golf Academy is pleased to implement
TrackMan into the golf program. TrackMan, a world leader
in ball flight and club data measurements, is technology that
produces 3D ball flight measurements, setting the industry
standards for accuracy in golf ball flight data tracking. From
gaming applications to performance analysis, TrackMan is
changing the way professionals, avid golfers, and beginners test
and improve their golf games. The TrackMan Radar Unit tracks
the trajectory of the golf ball from launch
to landing. The ability to measure the full
ball flight is essential to produce the highest
quality data. The golf radar picks up
valuable information about your club head,
giving a precise picture of the club during
ball impact. The technology used is the
Doppler Radar Principle, which has been widely used in military
applications to track missiles and projectiles since the 1960s.
The TrackMan Radar Unit has dramatically and conceptually
changed the way players are fitted for golf clubs and practice.
From testing golf clubs, to competing in TrackMan’s games,
TrackMan is an excellent way to identify your golf game’s
strengths and weaknesses. Major club and ball manufactures, as
well as the best players and teachers in the world, have embraced

Junior Golf Camp
The Saddlebrook Junior Golf Camp, promising a fun experience
while improving on the fundamentals of golf, combines technical
golf instruction and drills to benefit beginners and nationallyranked players. Master golf basics, practice, play on championship
courses, and develop winning course strategies. Saddlebrook Golf
Instructors train junior golfers in the pre-swing, in-swing, and fullswing; putting and drills; chipping and pitching; learning “how
to practice”; pre-shot and post-shot routines; mental fitness; golf

Sport & Academic Programs For Juniors
Campers enjoy taking ESOL Courses and / or SAT Prep
Tune-Up Courses at Saddlebrook Preparatory School.
Juniors are encouraged to master academic skills while pursuing
their athletic interests with the unique opportunity offered at
Saddlebrook Preparatory School, a fully accredited college preparatory
program. Student-athletes excel in the classroom with the friends they
make at Saddlebrook Golf Academy.
ESOL students practice speaking, listening, reading, writing, and
visualizing the English language in comfortable, engaging small group
settings. Expert teachers provide differentiated attention to students
ranging from the AP level to Level 3 and 4 English Language
Learners. In the Learning Lab, students hone their English skills
on SuccessMaker software and Rosetta Stone. Quizzes, vocabulary
acquisition, and structured peer support exercises are complemented
by campers’ interactions with Saddlebrook Prep staff and the activities
organized for learning while enjoying the multi-cultural environment
of the international golf program.
SAT Prep Tune-Up Courses are designed for campers to develop
test-taking skills in preparation for the Scholastic Achievement
Test (SAT), the College Board’s standardized test upon which post
secondary admission is based at many colleges and universities.
Students are assessed diagnostically to customize personal goals.
Measurable results are achieved through discussing and applying testtaking strategies; drills in math, reading, and writing; and completing
practice test sections. Student-athletes develop confidence and testtaking advantages in the concentrated sessions.
Saddlebrook Preparatory School
Accredited Academics for Tennis Players and Golfers
Committed student-athletes master their games while completing
a fully-accredited college-preparatory program at Saddlebrook
Preparatory School. The school is designed with a holistic mission
of delivering outstanding academics, for grades 3 through 12, while
engaging students in intensive golf or tennis athletic training.
The objective of Saddlebrook Prep is to develop the talents

Frequently Asked Questions for Juniors
How much spending money is needed?
Some activities involving costs include trips to the movies, the
mall, amusement parks, and recreation centers. We encourage
sending campers with a prepaid Visa or Mastercard debit card
with a $150 value for each week of stay.
Resort gift cards in $50 increments can be purchased in
advance to be used only at any of the resort outlets, including the
restaurants, the Pro Shop, etc.
Cash advances, cashing of personal checks, and room charging
are NOT allowed for juniors.
Passports, airline tickets, any cash, and other valuable papers
can be kept in the safe at the Saddlebrook Front Desk with
limited access, preferably Monday through Friday, during
lunchtime or by appointment. We recommend that campers do
not keep cash or valuables in their rooms.
When should I plan to arrive and depart?
Plan to arrive early in the afternoon on Sunday, before the
Mandatory Orientation at 4:00pm. Plan to depart the following
Saturday; check-out time is at 11:00am.
How do I arrange airport transportation?
Transportation is available from and to Tampa International
Airport at an additional cost. Please call for details. Please fill
out travel information completely on the application.
NOTE: A camp reservation will NOT be confirmed until any
necessary transportation arrangements are made.
What should I pack?
We suggest bringing your own clubs and golf shoes. Bring
several shorts and golf shirts for every day; eight to ten pairs
of socks; a few hats; a bathing suit; casual clothes for evening
activities; and pajamas. Remember personal toiletries including
sun screen, band aids, and incidentals needed such as Tylenol
and Advil, or necessary prescribed medications, which you must
be responsible to manage taking on your own. Please mark all
personal items with your name.
Cell phones are allowed, but if they are abused or used at
inappropriate times, they will be taken away and returned upon
departure. Calling cards are suggested as an alternative option.
Saddlebrook is not responsible for lost or missing articles. We
do not recommend bringing expensive or unnecessary items,
such as laptops, video games, etc.

Who will my roommates be?
Saddlebrook Golf Academy is an international program that
attracts juniors from all over the world. Juniors are housed in
suites that can accommodate up to six occupants. So, plan to
meet many new and interesting friends. There is a section on
the application for roommate requests, and in most cases we
are able to satisfy requests.
Is there supervision?
Saddlebrook Resort is a secure, gated property with 24-hour
security. Resident Assistants (RA’s) are on duty around the clock.
What is the food like?
All of the campers’ meals are prepared by our world-class
resort chef and our fine culinary staff. Campers are served
buffet-style and have plenty of
healthy, tasty options to enjoy.
Should you have a food allergy or
special request, such as kosher or
vegetarian meals, please let us know
ahead of time and we will gladly
accommodate your needs.
Can a camper receive mail?
Packages and letters will be delivered to the Saddlebrook
Front Desk, and campers are notified. Please provide ample
time for delivery to our shipping department and then to
a camper. Letters sent regular mail to a camper who is at
Saddlebrook for only one week may not have sufficient time

What happens if a camper breaks the rules?
We take the responsibility of ensuring each camper’s
safety very seriously; therefore, our enforcement of rules and
regulations is quite strict.
Saddlebrook reserves the right to remove campers from camp
and send them home without a refund should their actions
break the rules, damage property, and/or endanger themselves,
their peers, or our staff.
Please make sure both parents and children have read the
rules and regulations section of our application thoroughly
prior to arrival and orientation. Our goal is to create a safe and
enjoyable experience for every camper.
