SAn Siro tHE TEMPLE OF FOOTBALL
San Siro is always under development. Built in 1925, the initial
project consisted only of four stands not connected to each other.
The Stadium was completely owned by A.C. Milan and only the
red&black team played there. Inaugurated with a friendly derby
match the following year, the first goal was scored by the A.C. Milan
player Giuseppe Santagostino.
In 1938, after being purchased by the Milan Municipality, the
first improvement works took place. Dates back to the 50s the
construction of the second ring; finally in the 90s, in the occasion of
the World Cup, the third ring.
This development process, still ongoing, has changed the small
early stadium in what it is today: the Italian football symbol.
In 2002 the Skyboxes were built. Date back to 2013 the new
Skylounges, placed in the first red ring, which were awarded with
the A’Design Awards 2013 for their interior design. These luxurious
areas, with comfortable leather seats with headrests, TV monitors
and all kind of comfort to better assist the match, have been used
as Hospitality Areas for the corporate customers.
In 2015 we will continue the project to increase the Corporate
Hospitality spaces and improve the existing ones.
A.C. Milan wants to thank all of you for your support. Your
