personal world? Fabrics of all shapes and sizes can be used to add accents
and reflect our personality. And one thing which should always be present:
color. Color expresses our lifestyle. Dark tones ground us. Light tones bring
light into our living rooms. Bright eye-catching colors on cushions, covers
and lampshades play a crucial part in defining our living environment.

Always
in flow
The fascination which
unfolds when bright
flowing colors penetrate deep into a fabric
is truly captivating.
And the unique pieces
created by applying
color to light textiles
are even more so.
Discover our flowing liquid silk paints for use
with painting, spraying and salt and watercolor
techniques on silk and light-colored fabrics. Or
try the fascinating technique of natural bleaching. The highly pigmented and bright colors
penetrate deep into the fibres and after ironing
become lightfast and washable up to 40 °C.
The fabric paints for light-colored textiles are
soft and creamy. The bright colors penetrate
deep into the fibres and can easily be applied
to large areas with a brush or paint roller. After
fixing, they become lightfast and washable
up to 60 °C.
Characterful colors
Whether a pattern, motif or statement design
– these bright and creamy fabric paints for light
and dark-colored textiles are ideal for printing,
stamping and stencilling thanks to their pastelike consistency. The paints do not run under
the stencil and transfer even the most delicate
of details from the stamp. After fixing, they
become lightfast and washable up to 40 °C.
Print using
your own stamp
Do you love applying contrasting paint
techniques to fabric? Design your textiles using
hand-made prints and apply your own stamps.
All you need is a linocut plate, cutting tool, paint
roller and paint: these creamy paste-like fabric
paints for light and dark-colored textiles are ideal
for printing and stamping thanks to their consistency. This sets off the detailing perfectly! Any
area you do not want to make a print should be
cut out. And the remaining areas will be covered
with paint to produce the print. The good thing
about stamping is that you can use the motifs
over and over again.
You can use whatever you want to make the
stamps – rubbers, natural materials like flowers
and leaves or potatoes.
The KREUL ‘Printing on textile’ ideas set contains everything you need to create your own
stamps – fabric paint for light and dark-colored
textiles in black, white and cherry as well as a
cutting tool, paint roller and an idea brochure
that inspires.

As unique
as your own
signature
For crafters and fabric lovers, creating personalised patterns is the icing on the cake when designing any unique item. You can create a wow
effect using color blocking: combine delicate
color block lines with paint application over a
large surface area. The soft and creamy fabric
paints for light-colored textiles are ideal for this
and create individual fabric designs which are
true one-offs!
How does color
blocking work?
When applied to the
fabric, the color blocker ensures the motif
does not absorb any
of the paint in these
areas during the painting of the fabric. After
fixing the fabric paint,
the color blocker is
easy to remove with
a simple hand wash.
The motif should be
visible where there is
no paint.
Unique and delicate designs can be created
with the KREUL ‘Color blocking on textile’ ideas
set. This contains color blocker in a 20 ml tube,
fabric paints for light-colored textiles in
Bordeaux and grey, a paint roller and an idea
brochure. Be inspired by the surprising color
effects you can create!
The same technique, a different tool. If you want
to apply color blocking to a large area, simply use
the 50 ml color blocker glass and the brush or
paint roller.

Inspired
by nature
Design your own textiles using a natural
bleaching effect:
natural bleaching
uses the effect of
bright sunshine. For
indoor bleaching, use
a hairdryer to draw the
color from the fabric.
How does a natural
bleaching effect come
about? The liquid silk
paint that is not covered dries faster than
the paint under the
stencil. By means of a
special physical effect
– capillary action – the
silk paint under the
stencil flows out to the
uncovered parts, which
results in a lighter
motif when removing
the stencil.
Nature is a source
of many materials
for this fascinating
technique. The motif
should be visible where
the natural material
or stencil covers the
paint. Use the stencils
to achieve razor-sharp
motifs with a negativeeffect design. The
stencils are so flexible
that they even sit flat
against the wet silk
paint.
The leaf + flower stencils shown here along with
bright silk paint in lapis blue and pea green, a
brush and an idea brochure can be found in the
KREUL ‘Bleaching on textile’ ideas set. So all you
need now is the sunshine!

Please keep in mind!
Your textiles must be washed before designing to have a better adherence of the paint. Check
the heat resistance of your material before fixing the paints in place. Before applying the
paint, place some cardboard or baking paper under the fabric to ensure that the paints do
not come through. Using an iron and oven-fixing process can improve the washability of the
fabrics. Cover textiles with a thin towel when ironing. Always wash textiles inside out or in a
wash bag after finishing the design.
Lampshades of all
sizes as well as soft
book covers, fabric

unique designer items.
