About the 4 Offshore RMB Markets Conference in 2014
About the 4 th Offshore RMB Markets Conference in 2014
Modeled on the past three successful version of the Offshore RMB Markets Conference
in Hong Kong, the 4th Offshore RMB Markets Conference took place in March 2014 in
Singapore as a reflection of its growing importance as an RMB hub in the region.
The conference attracted over 450 participants representing various regulatory bodies
and financial institutions from Asia and Europe in both active forums and networking
sessions. Among over 40 senior speakers we had Monetary Authority of Singapore
(MAS), British High Commission to Singapore, Securities and Futures Commission (SFC),
Singapore Exchange (SGX), Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA ), City of London and
many other leading financial organisations.

The industry-wide conference for both sell-side and buy-side focused on the
development of the offshore RMB market as a key component of that RMB
internationalization in the region and globally, aiming to provide a timely platform for
interesting dialogue and debate.

We specially thank the sponsors and partners for the valuable support Standard
Chartered, Thomson Reuters, DBS, SWIFT, Bank of China, BNP Paribas, City of London,
Goldman Sachs, ICBC and J.P. Morgan.
We have received very positive feedback from the stakeholders including speakers,
delegates, sponsors and co-organisers. Most of them found the speakers excellent, the
discussions highly informative and interactive, and the conference thought provoking
and enjoyable with the opportunity to meet the various senior representatives with
similar interests in financial regulation.
