What Fun and Generosity
Fun was had by all at the First Annual Holy
Rosary Dance! Thanks to generous donations
for the dance space, dance instructor, band
and printing costs, we were able to donate all
proceeds in the amount of $1,950.00 to the Burn
the Mortgage Fund! Thank you to all who bought
tickets and attended the dance. Special thanks
to Jack and Barbara Frost who ‘worked’ so hard
to make this dance a success! Our gratitude to
the band, “Sugar Daddies”, Lauren Coleman of
“Have Fun Dancing”, and to Peggy Olson for
added help in promoting this event throughout
the greater community of Bozeman. Look ahead
for a Second Annual Holy Rosary Dance next
year!
Protecting God’s Children
For the good of the faithful, for the health and
protection of our young people, and for the peace
of mind of parents and parishioners alike, we ask
anyone wishing to report allegations of sexual
abuse or to obtain information regarding the
implementation of the “Charter for the Protection
of Children and Young People,” please contact the
chancellors’s Office at the Diocese of Helena at
1-800-584-8914. The Charter and diocesan policies
can be found online at www.diocesehelena.org.

We have an AED, which is located on the wall at

the person is unresponsive and pulseless, someone
should start basic chest compressions, while others
call 911 and get the AED. When the AED is opened,
verbal instructions will be given on its operations.

Gallatin Catholic Journey
This year’s Journey Weekend for the women
will be June 9-12, 2016, and the men’s weekend
will be June 23-26, 2016. It is time to prayerfully
consider if you are being called to experience a
deeper relationship with our Lord.
The Journey Weekend is open to Catholics
and non-Catholics to attend and experience a
weekend of Catholic Spirituality as lived in a
group of Catholic laity, who share with them
Catholic Community, faith and prayer.
Jesus asked his disciples, “What are you
looking for?” During our journey through this
year’s Lenten Season, maybe we should ask
ourselves, “What am I looking for?”
For more information, please contact Mike
Drewiske, [email protected] (406-5818725) for the men’s weekend, or Suzette Stokkee,
[email protected] (406-539-0977). You

O God,
help me to be true to the great privilege
and the great responsibility
which you have given to me.
Help me to be an example and
a friend to my children,
and a real partner to my wife.
Don’t let me get so busy with work
and with outside things
that I am almost a stranger in my own homes,
and that I take no interest in household things.
Don’t let me take all that is done for me as granted.
Help me to keep love alive within the home.
Keep me from habits which make the work
of the house harder,
and from ways which irritate and annoy
or which get on the nerves
of those who live with me.
Give me health and strength and work to do,
to earn a living for those who depend on me
and whom I love so much.
Help me to remember that love is
more important than money.
O God, you have given me the name of father;
you have given me your name;
help me to be true to it.
This I ask you for your love’s sake.
Amen

Exchange program in Bozeman and is bringing
a 16 year old young man from Taiwan to study
at Bozeman High School from Sept. 2016 - June
2017. He is in need of a host family for 3-1/2

Dear Parishioners,
In the past few weeks, we have invited
the members of our parish family to support
the essential works funded through the Annual
Catholic Appeal 2015. We are at 91% of our goal.
If the 480 people who have not contributed, would
give $20.00 each, we would reach our goal and
then be at 100% of participation. Please consider
giving to this worthy campaign, if you haven't
all ready. We are only $7,775 short of our goal.
Please help us reach the goal!
Families for Students
My name is Becky Boone and I am the Local
Coordinator for CIEE (an exchange student
program) in the Bozeman area. I am currently
matching students with families in the area for
the upcoming 2016/2017 school year. I have a
student from Spain who is Catholic and wants to
be able to attend church while he is here. It is
important to me to match these kids with their
religious preference if possible. Our students
are between the ages of 15-18, and arrive around
August. A host family or individual is only
required to supply the student with a room/bed
and 3 meals per day. Students arrive with their
own spending money for the year and insurance.
If you would like to host a student, please call
Becky Boone at 307-287-5972.
Peter's Pence Collection
Sunday, June 26, 2016
We will be collecting donations for Peters Pence
on Sunday, June 26, 2016. This collection provides
Pope Francis with the funds he needs to carry
out his charitable works around the world. The
proceeds bbenefit out brothers and sisters on
the margins of society, including victims of war,
oppression, and disasters. This collection will
be taken up world wide that day. Join our Holy
Father as a witness of charity to those who are
suffering.
Holy Rosary Parish News
Attention Parishioners!
If you have been coming to Holy Rosary and have
not registered, please get a Registration form from
the Entry way table and fill it out. You can put
it into the collection basket, or mail it to PO Box
96, Bozeman, MT 59771 or bring it to the office.
If you have Registered and MOVED, please
contact the office with your new address, as we
are getting many of the mailings that we send out
back. This costs us money, and it costs you not
being informed of what is going on in the parish.

RE PRESCHOOL – 5th GRADE
If you are interested in teaching or assisting in
a Faith Formation class next year please contact
Laura Kuntz. It is a very rewarding opportunity
and a great way to be involved with our Church.
Faith Formation classes will begin in October
2016. Look for information on signing up in the
September bulletin and on our website.
Have a great summer!
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
We are having Vacation Bible School with Hope
Lutheran again this year. It is scheduled for
June 13th – 17th at Hope Lutheran Church and
runs from 9:00 to 12:00 every day. This is for
kids aged 4 to 10. There is no charge, but we do
need volunteers to make it successful! If you are
in middle school or older, we can use your help
being a group guide, or leading and assisting at
the stations. These include Bible, Movies, Crafts,
Snacks, Games, and Music. We always need
adult help so please consider leading a station
or finding a friend and being co-leaders. We will
provide day care for children of the volunteers.
Our theme this year is Cave Quest – Following
Jesus The Light Of The World.
You can sign up your children for VBS online
at holyrosarybozeman.org.
Click on Faith
Formation in the menu bar and go to Vacation
Bible School. You can also e-mail me any time to
sign up or volunteer at VBS. My e-mail address is
[email protected].
We will need volunteers for snack and craft
donations, tie-dying t-shirts, and helping with
lunch on Friday. We really appreciate your help,
even if you can only be there for a couple of days.
Thanks!

BOZEMAN CATHOLIC YOUTH GROUP
High School and Middle School Faith Formation
Summer Bible Study: Will begin Tuesday June
14th at 6:30pm at the Bozeman Public Library.
Diocese of Helena Summer Events!
Registration for Diocese of Helena summer events
like Legendary Lodge and Justice Outreach
Project is open! Don’t miss out on these wonderful
opportunities! Please note the new summer
schedule for Legendary Lodge, camp dates
have changed! For more information on Justice
Outreach Project check out www.dohyouth.org
for Legendary Lodge www.diocesehelena.org
Keep Us Informed!
As we get closer to summer and our days begin
to fill with plans of weekend outings, camping
trips, and vacation, I’m asking for so help now, so
as to alleviate last minute stress. Every summer
we have a lot of kids from our area and faith
community attend Legendary Lodge and other
Diocesan sponsored events! This is fantastic!
We’re so lucky! But every year I field phone calls
and emails from parents trying to find names of
other kids and families that may be doing the same
thing, so as to perhaps work out a carpool, rides,
or even just have a familiar face for a new camper.
I am able to get the names of other campers from
our areas, but only with about 2 weeks notice. So
here’s what I’m proposing, will you email me and
let me know the dates that you’re sending your
child to Legendary Lodge and a way for others to
contact you so I can help facilitate some dialogue
about carpools? I’m hoping to help relieve the last
minute headaches that I know can occur.

Holy Rosary Parish Stewardship News
A Stewardship Prayer
Gracious God,
So often you attempt to offer us
a peaceful awareness of
your presence. It is always there,
but often we do not slow down
enough to become aware of it.
Help us to slow down
and appreciate the gift
of your presence, and
come to a deeper understanding
of the movement of your Spirit
in our lives. Help us recognize
those moments when you
rescued us, healed us, and
reconciled us.
Increase our trust in you,
And show us how to reach
beyond ourselves to minister
to others, and be better
stewards and sacraments
of your presence each day.
We pray this in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
Embracing Those Who Suffer from
Mental Illness
Adapted from a reflection by Mary Ann Otto, Stewardship
Director, Diocese of Green Bay, WI
What better way for us to reveal God’s
compassion during this Year of Mercy than to
become more aware of and embrace the people
we encounter who suffer from mental illness.
People with mental illness sometimes
behave in ways we can’t comprehend. Those with
severe depression sometimes stay in bed all day,
unable to man- age the most basic motivation
to move. People with anxiety disorders can be
gripped by irrational or even unidentifiable fears
that don’t incapacitate others. Those affected by
psychotic disorders may see things that aren’t
real, hear voices that don’t exist, and sometimes
lose the ability to discern reality at all. Sometimes people with mental illness mistreat or hurt
the people they love—or themselves. Some who
need medication stop taking it or won’t start.
Some who seem to be doing well suddenly start
showing symptoms again. Whatever the mental
health crisis, members of our family of faith are
called to be good stewards and embrace these
vulnerable brothers and sisters, as Jesus did.
When people see symptoms of mental
illness in others there is a tendency to distance
themselves, ignore them and hope someone else
will help, even in our parish communities. One
weary mom lamented: “When a family member
suffers from cancer or other diseases, people send
cards, visit and bring a casserole. If your family
member suffers from a mental illness, there is
no contact or support.” This mother’s feeling of
abandonment is regrettable and suggests that our
family of faith has no tolerance or empathy for
this kind of suffering. But the parish community is
the Body of Christ. It cannot leave the impression
that Christ himself is ready to walk away from
those who carry these burdens.
As stewards of Christ’s love and mercy, we
are called to follow his example, to reach out to
those who suffer, even those who suffer mentally
and emotion- ally; to embrace them rather than
shrink away. No one is beyond hope, past the
point where God’s grace touches them. We are
not called to have all the answers or understand
all the mysteries of mental illness. But we are
called to love. That is the disciple’s response.
DID YOU KNOW . . .
From the rich Eucharistic themes to be drawn
from today’s second reading, one stewardship
theme stands out: The Eucharist is Christ’s
gift to us. Good stewards are grateful for this
gift and realize that no matter their station
in life, they are welcome to come to the table
and receive the body and blood of Christ. If
Jesus could break bread with his betrayer,
Judas, his denier, Peter, and the other ten who
deserted him, then he will welcome us. Do we
truly appreciate what a tremendous gift it is
to approach the Lord’s table? Do we accept
the transforming power of the gift of Christ’s
body and blood?
