Weaving timeless operatic arias amid soaring rock melodies, with a
powerhouse rock rhythm section, with strings, woodwinds, brass
and backing vocals, Alexander’s music leaves you exhilarated and
breathless. His self-titled debut CD, released in 2014 (SONY/Red),
is the culmination of an incredible career, both as one of the most
distinctive operatic tenor voices on the international music scene,
and as a powerful and searing rock voice in the grand tradition of
Steve Perry and Freddie Mercury.
Alexander is a full scholarship graduate of the Mannes School of Music in New York City (B.M.),
and Northwestern University (M.M.). As a lyric tenor, Alexander has performed internationally,
with appearances at Avery Fisher Hall, The Berlin Philharmonic and has perform alongside Tony
Award winning actress Elizabeth Ashley in the Columbia Artists/Broadway tour of “Master Class”
by Terrence McNally. Classically trained in Opera, Alexander has studied with a Who’s Who of vocal masters, from Arrigo Pola (the late Luciano Pavarotti’s voice teacher, Modena, Italy),
Gianni Raimondi (La Scala, Italy), as well as Dan Marek, John Wustman and Nico Castel
(Metropolitan Opera).
As a solo artist, full concert performance or as a featured artist with a Symphony or Opera,
Alexander Kariotis and The Rock Orchestra is a package of energy, artistry and entertainment.
Combining his Master Series Classes with Performing Arts Centers and Theaters, Alex brings the

Classically trained in Opera, Alexander has studied with a Who’s Who of vocal masters, from
Arrigo Pola (the late Luciano Pavarotti’s voice teacher, Modena, Italy), Gianni Raimondi (La
Scala, Italy), as well as Dan Marek, John Wustman and Nico Castel (Metropolitan Opera).
Alexander is a full scholarship graduate of the Mannes School of Music in New York City

Alexander has performed internationally, with appearances at Avery Fisher Hall, The Berlin
Philharmonic and has performed alongside Tony Award winning actress Elizabeth Ashley in the
Columbia Artists/Broadway tour of “Master Class” by Terrence McNally.
As an educator and teacher of the voice Alexander has worked at Paper Mill Playhouse State
Theatre of New Jersey, Northwestern University, Rutgers University, The Peddie School, Oak
Knoll School and Kent Place.
Private students of Alexander have attended as scholarship recipients The Juilliard School,
Boston Conservatory, Manhattan School of Music, The Mannes School of Music, Yale,
Columbia, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of
Music (CCM) to name a few.
Alexander’s students have appeared on T.V. (Top 5 Finalist on X-Factor), Broadway, Off Broadway, Major motion pictures, Commercials,
Voice Overs and International Opera Houses.
Alexander new album of original crossover compositions is recently released on VMG Records and distributed by SONY/Red.

Michael Aarons is an American guitarist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer
and arranger.
As a guitarist, Michael Aarons' credits include Ray Charles, Patti LaBelle, Barry
Manilow, James Ingram, Peabo Bryson, Placido Domingo, Luther Vandross,
Michael McDonald, James Ingram and others.
His company, Hybrid Music Productions, has scored music for CNBC, Lifetime,
Sesame Street, Style Network, Oxygen, OWN, ABC and MTV, including the theme
song for Style Network's How Do I Look? Hybrid Music Productions also
specializes in mobile media content and production.
Michael's Broadway credits include guitarist and house contractor on Kinky Boots, Evita, Godspell, Baby It's You, Green Day's American
Idiot, the 2010 Tony Award Winning Best Musical Memphis, 9 to 5, Grease, High Fidelity, and Laugh Whore. Michael was an arranger on
Next To Normal.

PAULINE KIM HARRIS
Violin
A Grammy-nominated artist (Universal/Decca), she engages in internationally
ground-breaking classical, genre- bending crossover, to the envelope-pushing
experimental/avant-garde.
Since recording the tour de force solo violin work ” Passagen" by John Zorn
for Tzadik in 2012, critically acclaimed choreographer, Pam Tanowitz created
a duet named after the piece with Pauline playing onstage. Having premiered
at the Joyce Theater in 2013, it will be presented at the Lincoln Center Out of
Doors Festival as well as the Chicago Dancing Festival this summer (2014).
Pauline was also the soloist in the premiere of "Short Memory" by Pam Tanowitz for the New York Theatre Ballet.
As the first violinist of the Alchemy String Quartet, Ms. Harris completed a European tour in the "Zorn @60" concerts in London,
Gent, North Sea and Warsaw, as well as at the Lincoln Center Festival, the Miller Theater and the Metropolitan Museum in New York
City. She is member of the S.E.M Ensemble, Ostravska Banda, OBSq, Ensemble LPR, the Wordless Music Orchestra and the
"enterprising violin duo" String Noise with husband, Conrad Harris, of the FLUX Quartet.
Some highlights include performances with Peter Gabriel, Sting, Jeff Beck, Jay Z, John Cale and Joni Mitchell and recordings for
Lenny Kravitz, Jane Siberry, Tyondai Braxton and David Byrne/Fat Boy Slim. Ms. Harris is also a violinist in the highly- acclaimed
disco phenomenon, Escort, named Top 50 in the Rolling Stone Magazine (2012). Past appearances include performances in a
production of Samuel Beckett plays with the Cygnus Ensemble directed by Joy Zinoman, the southeast asian premiere of John Zorn's
"Contes de Fees" with the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra and recording projects with Project SiS with cellist Christine Kim.

ALAN MICHAELS

In addition to enjoying his duties as Director of Music at Peddie School, Alan leads a
distinguished performing career in a variety of musical genres.
Alan has been a percussionist/drummer for the following Broadway productions:
Grand Hotel, Annie Get Your Gun, A Chorus Line, The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, The
25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, West Side Story, and Mary Poppins.
Alan has studied with Christopher S. Lamb, Principal Percussionist, New York Philharmonic.
Norman Freeman, New York Pops, Barbra Streisand New York Philharmonic and Broadway
Shows and Howard Van Hyning, Principal Percussionist, New York City Opera Orchestra.
With a background in rock, classical, and jazz, Alan has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln
Center, Madison Square Garden, and The Nassau Memorial Coliseum.
Alan earned his BM and MM from Mannes College of Music where he was a full scholarship student.

JOHN CONTE
Pianist/Orchestrator/Score Composition
John Conte is a pianist, composer, producer, orchestrator, educator, and holds a B.M. and M.M. in
piano performance from the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, MD.
Further education includes studies in Jazz Performance and Music Theory at the Manhattan
School of Music, Chamber Music at The Banff Centre in Alberta, Canada, and Composition at
Westminster Choir College.
His teachers have included Leon Fleisher, Ann Schein, Karl Ulrich Schnabel, and Robert Weirich.
He's written and recorded the scores for the award winning independent features "Black-Eyed
Susan" and "Mass of Angels". He was the Assistant Conductor of the Lyric Theatre Orchestra of
NYC and is an accompanist for The Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ as well as for The
Continuo Arts Foundation in Summit, NJ.
He is currently the pianist, orchestrator, producer, and musical director for Alexander Kariotis and
the Rock Opera Orchestra.

CHRISTINE KIM
Cello
Christine is a Grammy-nominated cellist and in-demand crossover talent, her unique ability to
immediately capture a broad range of musical styles has earned her success as both a cellist and
contractor.
In addition to her concert hall work, Ms. Kim has toured with such pop stars as Sheryl Crow, as well as
with the East Village Opera Company, with whom she was honored with a Grammy nomination in
2008. She has played with David Foster, Bruno Mars, Adele, Mary J. Blige, Andrea Bocelli, Mick
Jagger, U2, and Fergie to name a few. A recurring presence on national and international television, Ms.
Kim has appeared on, among others, Saturday Night Live (NBC), Late Night With David Letterman
(NBC), Late Night With Jimmy Fallon (NBC), and the View (ABC), as well as assorted programming on
QVC and ESPN. Specials include A Michael Buble Christmas (NBC), The Victoria’s Secret Fashion
Show with Bruno Mars (CBS) and Muhammad Ali’s Power of Love. This year, she will appear in the
film Annie with Jamie Foxx.
As a musical contractor, Ms. Kim has assembled orchestras for The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, The
National Football League, Jeff Beck (MSG), Kanye West, Deep Purple, Aretha Franklin, Donna Summer, Dead Can Dance, Clay Aiken,
Queensryche, and IL VOLO- as well as for the AMC TV series Rubicon and the documentary films Voyage to Amasia and Client9: The
Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer.
A classically trained cellist, Ms Kim is a graduate of the Juilliard School. Her master teachers include Ron Leonard, Harvey Shapiro, Carter
Brey, and Mstislav Rostropovich. She has performed throughout New York City with such prestigious companies as the American Ballet
Theatre, as well as with many Broadway shows. Select recordings include J. Cole’s Born Sinner and the East Village Opera Company’s
Olde School.

Kevin Eliot Brown
Double Bass/Electric Bass
Kevin Eliot Brown, studied under Jeff Bradetich and Fred Hamilton at the
University of North Texas, where he earned an M.M. in double bass
performance (classical) and a B.M. in Jazz Studies (double bass performance).
He is currently an Adjunct Professor of double bass at Montclair State
University, where he also teaches music theory as well as an audition repertoire
class for double bass.
He has served as a faculty member of various summer music camps, has been a
presenter for the New Jersey branch of ASTA, and has conducted master classes,
continuing education seminars, and sectionals for ASTA, the Toms River, Scotch
Plains, and Piscataway school districts, the New Jersey All-State orchestra, and
the Garden State and New Jersey youth orchestras.
Performance experience includes principal bass of the Orchestra of St. Peter-by-the- Sea, the Metro Lyric Opera, the Staten Island Symphony,
dozens of productions at New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse, in addition to appearing on stage and/or recordings with artists as diverse as Rich
Little, The Great Kat, Regis Philbin, The Drifters, DMC, Mike Richmond, Ray Price, Marvin Hamlisch, Joan Rivers, and Bob Newhart.
