Director’s Corner
I love living in a geographic area where we get to enjoy the changing of the seasons. With only four seasons, you’d think I could easily decide
which one is my favorite. Truth be told, my favorite is usually the one that is just about to happen.
As I look at our library system’s latest Between the Lines, I feel the same way about the seasons of our library. Summer was absolutely wonderful
as we encouraged and celebrated reading with so many kids, teens, and families. But as that great chapter ends, I am excited to turn the page
to the next chapter. As our communities anticipate the fall line-up of high school sports, the backpacks and lunch bags, the fair and the fall festivals
-- YOUR Tuscarawas County Public Library System is excited to present an excellent line up of learning opportunities and fun events to enjoy.
We have redesigned our Between the Lines with the customer in mind. It is now organized about YOU the customer rather than about us the
library. Looking for a program for little kids? Turn to the pages marked Emerging Learners for a complete listing of what is offered across the
system in month-by-month order. Looking for something fun to do for free as an adult? Turn to the pages marked Adult and Adult Clubs.
Each program listing in the Between the Lines includes the TCPL location where the program is offered and the date that registration opens for
each event. Because our program offerings fill up quickly, registration for each program opens three weeks prior to the event. Staff at any of our
TCPL locations can assist you in registering for a TCPL event regardless of which location it is held. Simply call or stop at a service desk.
Fall is a GREAT time to Create It. Learn it. Live it. @ the library! Happy Fall y’all!
Sincerely,
Michelle McMorrow Ramsell

Round up your family members and join Dr. Ryan Dunn
of New Life Counseling to learn how bullying impacts the family. Studies show
that parents or adults can help prevent bullying by keeping the lines of communication
open, talking to children about bullying, encouraging them to do what they love,
modeling kindness and respect, and encouraging them to get help when they are
involved in bullying or know others who need help. Refreshments are provided. In
partnership with WTUZ and New Life Counseling. Registration begins 9/12.
