ò  The European Cup is consolidated in 2015 to provide a dynamic 4 event Series.
With over $50,000 of prize money on offer the #EUCup will span 4 countries,
consisting of 1 full status World Series events and 3 World Challenger events. With
both European Cup titles & European Championships on the line the 2015 #EUCup
will see the World’s Elite & Europe’s best paddlers alongside a wealth of local
European talent battle it out in some of the finest locations across Europe.
The 4 Stops:
1. 
#France: Oleron Island Stand Up Paddle Challenge (19-21 June)
2. 
#Spain: Barcelona SUP World Series (26-28 June)
3. 
#Finland: Sieravuori SUP Masters (2-4 July)
4. 
#Italy: Italia Surf Expo (24-26 July)

Best 3 results from 4 events will count towards Athletes’ European campaign (1 Discard)
ò 
The #EUCup will have it’s own Rankings Points
Barcelona Sup World Series will carry 15,000pts for 1st place in the EU Cup Rankings to reflect the
stature of the event (2nd 12,000, 3rd 9,750, 4th 8,625, 5th 7,500 etc)
Oleron Island, Sieravuori & Italia Surf Expo will carry 10,000pts for 1st place in EU Rankings (2nd
8,000, 3rd 6,500, 4th 5,750, 5th 5,000 etc)

As Barcelona Sup World Series is a Full World Series Stop it will carry full World Series
Rankings Points (1st Place 10,000pts)
ò 
Oleron Island, Sieravuori & Itali Surf Expo are all Challenger 4* Events (1st Place 2,500 pts etc.)
on World Series Rankings

#EUCup is open to all ages, male and female paddlers with Elite and Open Divisions (Prize
Money only for Elite 12’6 Division)
ò 
Male & Female European Cup Winners (Anyone, Any Nationality) & Male & Female European
Championship Winners (European Paddlers only)

All SUWS & SUWS Challenger Series Pro Level Races will use 12’6 Boards (Prize Money only for
this Division)
ò 
Stand Up World Series & World Challenger Series Races consist of:
1. 
Long Distance Race: (between 5 & 20 miles) Can either be Open Ocean or Flat Water river with a
straight Point A-B Race or a course made up of buoys.
2. 
Sprint Distance Race: Sprint course will consist of a short course around buoys and utilizing a heat
elimination format (much like surfing) and feature a minimum of one repecharge round. (This
format will be adapted to suit the conditions, whether it be: In and out of the surf in coastal
locations, or on flat water, where the course itself will be more technical)

Seeding for the Stand Up World Series & World Challenger Series Sprints will be determined by both
current ranking and the previous year’s event. This will not apply where it is a first time event.
ò 
While winners in each respective race will be celebrated, the Event result will be an Overall result
derived from the athletes’ performance across both long distance and sprint races.
