This award is given to one junior member per year in recognition of their outstanding leadership and involvement in Angus activities as well as their community. This award is available only to members of the NJAA who are 14 years of age or older as of January 1 of the current year. The award winner is announced at the National Junior Angus Show, but will be presented with an eagle statue and a $500 cash award at the Annual Banquet of the American Angus Association in November. ________________________________________ ANGUS FOUNDATION RICHARD L. RICHARDSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP – $500 ________________________________________ National Junior Angus Show 2007 – 154 JANET CASTLE CRYSTAL AWARD The Janet Castle Crystal Award is in memory of Janet Castle, and is made possible by a generous donation from her family to the American Angus Auxiliary. Janet was one of the founders of the scholarship fund. She served as president of the Auxiliary in 1962. Janet’s vision and dedication helped many junior Angus members, and it is appropriate that the Auxiliary sponsor this award in her honor. This award is based on placings in the NJAA contests. It is given to the overall high-point girl and the high-point boy. Girl _________________________________________ Boy____________________________________ AMERICAN ANGUS AUXILIARY SILVER PITCHER AWARD Exhibitors are awarded points based on their animals’ placings in the on-hoof steer, owned cowcalf, owned heifer, bred-and-owned cow-calf pair, bred-and-owned bull, and bred-and-owned heifer categories. Extra points are given for champion and reserve divisions as well as grand and reserve grand champions in each of the categories. All entries shown by the exhibitor are eligible.
