Governor’s Prayer Breakfast

As part of ongoing MRTA’s lobbying efforts, several MRTA leaders attended the 2016
Governor’s Prayer Breakfast. This was a good opportunity for MRTA to network and
build awareness of MRTA’s legislative interests. Speakers at this event included Governor Nixon and Keynote Speaker Aeneas Williams. Williams had a Hall of Fame NFL
career with the Rams and Cardinals. He is a beloved St. Louis community leader and
role model whose tireless service, outreach and personal counsel have changed lives.
Pastor Williams has a love for people and a passion for helping each of us fulfill our full
potential. In 2007, he and his wife of 23 years, Tracy, founded The Spirit Church in St.
Louis, where he serves as senior pastor.
In attendance was: Linda Greeson, MRTA Legislative Chair; Susan Fales, MRTA Region
4 Vice President; Ron Marsch, MRTA Treasurer; Jim Kreider, MRTA Executive Director;
Marilyn Stone, Boone County Unit President; Cheryl Fadler, Boone County Unit Vice
President; Denise Schebaum and Brenda Wilson, Cole County Co-Presidents; Warren
Solomon, Cole County Unit Legislative Chair; Julia Platt, Miller County Unit President.
