COCKINGTON GREEN PLANT LIST GARDENS
PLANT LIST
COCKINGTON GREEN
GARDENS
June 2005
This plant list has been compiled because of the many requests we have to identify plants growing in our gardens. While we cannot guarantee its complete accuracy, every effort has been
made to give the correct name to each plant, including a common name where one exists.
So as not to detract from our main display of miniature buildings and gardens, very few plants have been labelled there. However, in almost all cases, an identical plant has been named in
another part of the garden. Similarly, where a plant has been used several times throughout the garden, not every specimen may be labelled. Remember also that certain plants, and in
particular bulbs, are dormant in some seasons, and at these times there will be nothing visible.
As we are constantly adding to our collection, there may be new plants that are not labelled or that are numbered but not on the list. If you wish to know their names, or have any other
questions about the plants in the garden, please ask our horticulturist, Peter Ellerman, or another member of our gardening staff.
