Special set worth Rs. 1.5
crore for 'Bhoologam'

Actor Colin Firth's statue has been installed in
the midst of a lake at the Hyde Park here.
A statue of Mr. Darcy, the character played by
Firth in "Pride and Prejudice", was installed in between the Serpentine Lake in Hyde Park Monday.
The 12-foot sculpture shows the scene in which
he emerges from water in a see-through white t-shirt
in the 1995 BBC series, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
The display will also make its permanent home
in a body of water in Lyme Park, where the scene
was originally shot.

The climax of upcoming Tamil action-thriller
"Bhoologam", featuring Australian wrestler
Nathan Jones and Jayam Ravi, is ready to be
canned in a boxing ring set specially erected
here at the cost of Rs.1.5 crore.
Nathan Jones arrived in the city Tuesday,
and will soon start shooting for the film.
"Nathan arrived last night (Tuesday). He is
likely to start shooting the talkie portion today
(Wednesday) and the fight sequences in a few
days. We have erected a special boxing ring
set in a studio here at the cost of nearly Rs.
1.5 crore," a source from the film's unit told
IANS.
Jayam Ravi and Nathan, who had previously locked horns in Tamil action-drama
"Peranmai", will be fighting each other in a
boxing match this time for a 12-minute sequence.
International stunt coordinator Lar nell
Stovall, who is known for films such as "The
Hunger Games", "Jarhead" and "Olympus Has
Fallen", will choreograph the stunts for the boxing scene.
"Bhoologam", which is being directed by
debutant Kalyan Krishna, is the stor y of a
boxer, played by Ravi in the film. It is being
produced by Venu Ravichandran of Aascar
Films. The film also features Trisha Krishnan,
Prakash Raj, Ponvannan and Ganja Karuppu.

Cinematographer-turned-director K.V. Anand
has refuted rumors that he has cast young Bollywood
actress Alia Bhatt in his upcoming yet-to-be-titled
Tamil film starring Dhanush.
Following a Facebook update from a fake profile
under the name of K.V. Anand, it was reported in
some section of the media that Alia had been
finalised for the project.
Clarifying the news on his Twitter page, Anand
posted: "It is not my official (Facebook) page. Fake. I
never typed so many words. We are still searching. I
will share the news once I confirm someone."
Known for helming Tamil films such as "Ayan",
"Ko" and "Mattrraan", Anand recently announced his
new project with Dhanush. He will start shooting as
soon Dhanush is done with upcoming Tamil comedy
"Naiyaandi".

Los Angeles,
Actors Rooney Mara and Martin Sheen have
reportedly been signed on to work in "Trash", an
adaptation of Andy Mulligan's novel published in
2010 with the same name.
Sheen will play a character named Juilliard, while
Mara will portray the role of Olivia in the film, reports
contactmusic.com.
The film is directed by Stephen Daldry and the
stor y has been adapted for the screen by "Four
Weddings and a Funeral" director Richard Curtis.
The production is due to begin in Rio de Janeiro,
Brazil, next month.
The film is tentatively scheduled to release in May
2014.

Actor Orlando Bloom refused to be a part of “The
Bling Ring” as the story felt “too close to home”.
The movie, directed by Sofia Coppola, is based
on the real life experiences of Bloom, socialite Paris
Hilton, actresses Lindsay Lohan and Rachel Bilson.
"Sofia Coppola is wonderful and I'd love to work
with her. She asked me to cameo in the movie, but I
said it was too close to home for me to want to be
involved," Bloom told Britain's Hello! magazine.
The story talks about a group of thieves who
snatched more than 1.9 million pounds worth of items
from celebrities and the stars were the vistims of the
