MuNiMulA’s collection of objects and furniture relies on notions of making that derive from the simultaneous implementation of
industrial production and handmade execution. MuNiMulA endorses a culture of investigation and research into materials and
production techniques. Our background in the Fine Arts, Architecture, Engineering and Manufacturing is enhanced by the
collaboration established with MuNiMulA’s welders, machinists, and finishers. All cutting, machining, welding, and finishing is done
by hand at MuNiMulA’s manufacturing facility in southern Michigan, a location characterized by a strong historic manufacturing
presence. This context provokes and informs the designs with a critical economy of means and clear understanding of materials.
MuNiMulA’s process identifies selective capricious needs which are addressed through a set of essential material parameters where
aluminum is explored on its own and in relation to resin, industrial glass, felt, silicon, leather, wood, and fabric. The designs are
purposefully instilled with an indeterminacy that engages the user in the final collaborative issues of color, configuration, and function.

UU12 table Low table designed
for continuous rearrangement
of its surface with seven interchangeable ribbed planks in four
colors of anodized aluminum.
The frame is welded aluminum
in a satin anodized finish. Planks
fit on both top and bottom levels
and have a different contour on
each side.

textured aluminum top which

or combined with our cushions
to create different seating
options. Cushions are available

5 Maharam fabrics. The cushion
is HR polyurethane foam over a

UU47 table From a single desk
to an imposing table, this design
can be moved in the most challenging conditions. The modular
system grows as needed by
attaching units with an anodized
aluminum spine which enhances
its presence and functionality.
Each table is made of an anodized
aluminum frame with two pairs of
removable trays. These are made
of bent plywood with a durable
hand lacquered finish.
