Swearingen & Jonathan Beedle). But if you’re not into paying to see copies of bands, check out 2U, a respected U2 tribute act. At least it’s good music without paying U2’s all-too-real real ticket prices. 9 p.m., Volksplatz Three Legged Fox: Delaware County indie-rock reggae jam band Three Legged Fox had Musikfest’s “Main Street in a frenzy last year,” says ArtsQuest Performing Arts Director Patrick Brogan. Little wonder. They add to the mix an organic roots-rock element, and somehow are able to present the best of all the genres. And no one would complain if you checked out what The Greatest Funeral Ever sounds like. But there’s absolutely nothing funereal about this central Pennsylvania band’s music. It’s jammy, experimental nu-jazz with influences including Latin and funk. 8 p.m., Main Street MONDAY, AUGUST 9 n PICK OF THE PLATZES Ana Popovic: Serbia is likely not your first thought when it comes to blues rock, but the guitarist presents a “killer blues rock show live,” ArtsQuest Performing Arts Director Patrick Brogan says. 9 p.m., Americaplatz Amped Up! Winners: For the first year, no Lehigh Valley band was a winner in Musikfest’s annual Battle of the Bands, this year called Amped Up! It also was the first year it was decided entirely by online votes. Panic Years and The Atomic Square, both Philadelphia indierockers, and The Hide and Seek Effect, a piano pop-rockers from Morgantown, W. Va., got the most votes among 10 finalists Musikfest chose. 5:30-9 p.m., Plaza Tropical Los Straitjackets: It seems these masked Mexican avengers of surf-rock are critics’ picks every year at Musikfest, but if you’ve ever seen and heard them, you understand why.
