Following the service, everyone is invited into the Atrium for a time of refreshments and conversation. Welcome to all, but in particular, welcome to all guests! We encourage you to fill out the guest card on the back of this worship program and place in the wooden box on the table in the back of the auditorium. Welcome to Day 15 and Message 3 of “Fifty Days of Transformation,” a spiritual campaign that utilizes the best of spiritual growth tools; preaching of God's Word, combined with small group, and personal devotions. This week Pastor Joel will preach "Change Your Mind; Change Your Life" from Romans 12: 2. We don't change for the long haul by trying to change feelings or behaviors. But, we can change when we change our mind which reshapes our emotions and our actions. So, change your mind, change your life. Series and This Week’s Memory Verse: Romans 12: 2 not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. 2Do Today we welcome Paul and Ashley Siemer and Noah (age 8), Reese (age 5), and Liam (age 3) as members of the Pathway family! They live in Schererville, Indiana, and keep busy with their children’s schedules, children’s sports, and church activities since Paul is our worship director here at Pathway. Paul works full time for his family’s business doing heating and cooling. Ashley is a stayat-home mom and also coaches varsity girls’ soccer at Illiana in the spring. They are also involved with a ministry called Safe Families for Children, so you might see them with an extra child from time to time. Please pray that the student’s hearts would be open to a relationship with Christ. They look forward to the spring break trip as it is a significant opportunity to grow in Christ and deepen relationships with the students. We would like to thank everyone for all the prayers, cards, and verbal condolences of comfort during our sister-in-laws’s hospitalization and recent passing, (Toni Horner). They meant a lot to us. - John and Jan Horner News and Notes Online Directory: Photo sessions for the Pathway Directory will begin TODAY, February 14, after the worship service. Both family and individual pictures will be taken. Due to scheduling difficulties, we have decided to revert to a sign-up sheet. Please sign up TODAY at the back of the auditorium. If you have any questions, contact Kris Clevering at [email protected] or (219) 322-2309. Regional Mission Trip: Pathway is hoping to send a team out on a regional mission trip to the Detroit area this summer. In 2014, flooding in the Detroit tri-county area caused over 100,000 homes to have some level of damage. Most of the work today is reconstruction, (insulation and drywall, flooring, trim, painting, etc.). There is a local coordinator who will assign work projects to our group. There is no skill level required for this!! Our team will travel on a Saturday or Sunday, work Monday through Friday, and then travel back Saturday morning. The host site is at an elementary school in the community. The meals are provided, but the overall trip cost is $25 per person per day. Pathway will contribute up to half of the cost of the trip for those who desire financial assistance. Transportation is TBD. If you have interest or questions, please reach out to Todd Bevan at [email protected] or Terri Schaaf at [email protected]. We’re trying to determine the exact week and number of participants for the trip. The current plan is for the last week of June (6/25 to 7/2), but it is flexible if another week works best for everyone. If this conflicts with your schedule, but you would like to go, please let us know. The deadline for registering is February 28. Are you following @Pathway_CRC and @PastorJoelZ on Twitter, liking Pathway on Facebook or following Pathway_CRC on Instagram yet? Testimony Series Post-Easter: Pathway, you keep asking, “Did anyone agree to do this?” So here it is. Yes, I’m finally starting to get some “I’ll help” responses. I’m still looking for someone who can give testimony about God’s grace and how He brought painful and/or sinful happenings full circle in the midst of divorce, abortion (his and/or her stories), addiction, teenage rebellion, and abuse. We have testimonies planned for death of a spouse, health calamities, and an unwed pregnancy. Testimonies will be given in one of three formats: interview with me, video, or via read manuscript. I will work with each presenter on the format most appropriate to him, her, or them. I will also work with them to groom their testimony so it’s well told. The purpose of telling these difficult stories is to see the hand of God in our lives in our lowest moments and how His grace still reaches, and to prepare ourselves for the day when God will bring others to Pathway with these stories of brokenness. If you can help, let me know. - Pastor Joel The Women's Wednesday Evening Bible Study will meet THIS Wednesday, February 17, at 7:00 pm. at Ann Schenkel’s home, 10773 Oakridge Court, St. John, Indiana.
