2. Ways of getting to the meeting address from the airport
2.1
By taxi/car:
It takes about 25 minutes to get from 'Barajas Airport T1' to 'Plaza del Cardenal
Cisneros'. There are several options, but in this case it is better to go following the M-11 and
M-30 ring road. You can expect a 30 euros charge for the taxi ride.
Once at the “Plaza del Cardenal Cisneros” you could ask to get directly to the ETSIA
building if you decided to use a taxi (the parking is not open for private cars). Or following a
pair of staircases if you choose to walk.

2.2
By public transport (subway):
Although it is possible to combine bus and metro (subway) to travel between the
airport and the ETSIA building, the fastest way is to use exclusively the metro (subway). It takes
about an hour and 15 minutes to arrive from Madrid’s airport. For this purpose, follow the
indications at the airport to reach the metro station called 'Aeropuerto T1-T2-T3' or
“Aeropuerto T4” and get the ticket to 'Ciudad Universitaria' station in the line 6. You can
expect a 5 euros charge.
Once at 'Ciudad Universitaria' you can follow the indications towards the Exit ('Salida'
in Spanish). From the exit of the station, you should walk about 400 meters to get to the
building. Hereafter a map of the direction to follow.

Its easy to get lost on the way out of the METRO station, therefore images of the path to
follow have been added.
On your way out take the exit on your right
As you come out of the METRO turn left
Follow this path until Plaza Cardenal

You will find the staircase to building 1 on
your left hand side
This staircase will take you directly to the
main entrance

3. Once at the building 1 of the ETSIA
The main entrance is indicated in the following map:
The Building 1 has five levels, and the main entrance accesses directly to 'level 0' (main
hall). There you will find the reception at the right hand side, the lifts and the stairs. The
reception desk will be located at the entrance to the main conference room situated at the
main hall. You can also ask the staff that you will find at the reception.

5. Networking Event
The Networking event will take place at “Casa de América” on the 26 th at 20:30. Casa
de América is located at “Plaza de Cibeles”. You can find more information on the following
map and on its website.

The entrance to the networking event will take place through the side gardens
entrance at “casa de América Palace” at Paseo de Recoletos, 2, located where Paseo de
recoletos meets Marqués del Duero Street, shown in the picture below.

6. Hotel suggestions Madrid
Here you will find a list of hotel suggestions which are next to the meeting place.
Usually, the closer places to the meeting address are found next to 'Moncloa' metro and bus
station. From there, it takes 15 minutes to arrive on foot. As it can be seen in the first map
presented, you should follow the main Avenue 'Avenida del Arco de la Victoria', just following
towards where the Roman style archway and the tower are. The pedestrian walkway is shown
as a dotted yellow line.
