Ride Height? Corner Weight? Shock Dyno? We can do that!
Hoosier Performance Engineering offers a wealth of suspension knowledge from giving
you the ability to have your ride corner weighted, ride height adjustments, basic scaling for
weight data, and shock dyno service for race or street applications. We work closely
with AFCO Racing, building off their race systems to design a top performing street to race

Scale Day (by appointment):
Looking to see what your ride weights? Let us help you with that by putting you on our corner scales. We can give you a couple of measurements with you in and out of the car and
give you read outs of the data to take with you to digest your next goals to improve. This
service is offered with no adjustments to your ride, we roll your car on the scales and take
less than an hour of your time.

Ride Height Adjustments:
Running a coilover setup? Need to get the ride height in a different position for better performance and fit? We can help and look forward to getting your ride in optimum position
for your street and race applications.
Corner Weighting:
Get the most out of your ride on the street and race days. We putting our knowledge of
scale data and years of street/race experience to get your car set to optimum weight on all
four corners with you and out of the car. A well-balanced car is very important in racing
and we would be giving you the edge over your competition. If you have a special request
beyond our starter package, we would quote you time and materials on your project.
Shock Dyno Service:
All about the data? Not everyone can crunch the numbers to get the results, but at HoosierPE – we have trained personnel to achieve the ride quality and performance needed to
edge the competition. Our facility uses Pronello Shock Dynamometers to measure your
data. It is common for race teams to have specific setting that we maintain proprietary between HoosierPE and you.

HoosierPE can help setup your car for the street or track. We offer a few options to help
with shock dyno, corner weighting, scaling weight service, or ride height changes. We offer

C6 & C5 X-Tracker Hub w/Passive or Active (Bosch) ABS Sensor
Description:
SKF’s X-Tracker Race Hub is designed to improve the
performance, cornering, and stability characteristics
that race car and high performance vehicle owner's
demand.
The Asymmetrical X-Tracker is a performanceengineered hub unit consisting of a double row angular contact ball bearing arrangement in which the
outboard row has a larger diameter race and contains
more balls than the inboard row.
This unique design increases the bearing load carrying capacity and operational life, and has been tested
and proven to exceed OEM life requirements, even at
sustained cornering loads exceeding 1.2 G’s. This
design also significantly improves the camber stiffness and reduces lateral run out when compared to
traditional symmetrical hub units. Lateral run out for
the X-Tracer Race Hub is less than 10 microns
(0.00039”). Improving camber stiffness allows the
brake rotor to tilt less during hard vehicle cornering.
This reduces brake caliper piston knock back, leading
to more consistent braking and allowing the driver to
brake later, reducing lap times on the track.
The X-Tracker is currently used in a number of highvolume, high-performance luxury vehicles and will
retrofit a number of racing and high performance
cars.

C5 Corvette Torque Limiting Mount
Hold the powertrain in place with our HPE differential torque limiting brace (mount). Our
mounts reduce the powertrain twist that is common in the C5. An excellent solution for
high horsepower Corvettes, these mounts are complete system to limit unnecessary
movement and reducing wheel hop. Our C5 differential brace bolts to the differential to
keep your powertrain in place. Our brace will reduce the loads on your half-shafts and
other driveline components. Constructed with 6061 T6 aluminum and anodized for durability.

C5 Corvette Billet Side Cover
Description:
The billet cover replaces the standard cast cover on the right side for ultimate strength. The
majority of the gear separating force is carried through the cover and it is a common fail
point on high horsepower/traction cars.

C5 Description:
The Billet Pinion Bearing Support is machine from 6061-T6 aluminum bar stock with a full
flange between mounting holes for added strength. Using one solid bar (billet) of aluminum

C5 Corvette Torque Tube Coupler
Description:
Our billet coupler is designed to either be paired with the OE composite coupler when your application is
street to daily driver or for the pure race application to replace both the front and rear couplers. Utilizing our
billet coupler in one location or both is designed to extend the life of your torque tube assembly. The 10mm
to 12mm coupler increased the hole to 12mm to up-grade a 10mm driveshaft/yoke to 12mm and has reduced thickness so a 12mm OEM coupler can be used on the front of the driveshaft. The driveshaft and yoke
holes must be re-tapped to 12mm.

C6 Corvette Torque Tube Coupler
Description:

WHERE THE MAGIC IS:
John was Chief Engineer, Advanced Chassis-Vehicle Systems at Navistar (International Harvester) and in 2012 the
company moved operations to Chicago, IL. John and his family chose to stay in Indiana and to pursue his dream
of developing aftermarket performance components with his engineering consulting company, Hoosier Performance Engineering. While working on some projects with DTE Performance (prior Dynotech Engineering) of Fort
Wayne, IN, the owner of DTE asks John if he would be interested in buying out his business. In November 2013,
John and Rhonda Fehring bought DTE Performance, a Corvette performance speed shop.
A few months into ownership, there was a transition of it being Corvette only performance into street car performance, focusing on ride development systems and components. John has been heavily involved in ride technology and development in past careers and consulting work in many of the main major shock systems on the market. His experience as Senior Project Engineer for Delphi Chassis gave him the ability to work with all ride controls products; shock designs, algorithm development, ride tuning & system integration. We are applying that to
the business today.
In December of 2014 we purchased a Pronello Shock Dynamometer and became their North American dealer
for Pronello systems. Developed by a racing family of engineers in Argentina, the Pronello design has zero lash
system unique to Scotch-yoke shock dynos. The system also has the ability to run out in the 35 in/sec range
compared to the typical 12 in/sec of other models and is ready to service all forms of suspension systems. We
also corner weight and scale to racing specs needed to get the optimum performance out of suspension.
