Wu Guangzhong collection
Wu Guangzhong ( 1919—2010), was born in Yixing in Jiangsu province of China. He
is a contemporary Chinese artist in the 20th century and his artworks are collected by
museums worldwide, such as The National Art Museum of China, National Museum
of China, Hong Kong Museum of Art, National Museum of Singapore, Birmingham
Museum of Art, Cernuschi Museum in Paris and British Museum. Wu Guangzhong’s
‘Jiaoche Ancient City’ painting was sold for 40.7 million yuan at an auction in Beijing,
setting a record for Chinese contemporary paintings sales.
