The Brief:
KGK were entrusted to work in partnership with Genix Imaging, one of
the main graphics suppliers for all of the Nike Town outlets in the UK.
The brief was to produce the Christmas display graphics for Nike
Town’s flagship store in Oxford Street. Only three days before the event
was due to be installed, KGK were finally given the go-ahead to
produce the graphics. Working very closely with the designers at
Genix, we ensured that all files and colour matching were exactly in line
with Nike brandings.
Our Solution:
KGK printed direct to 10mm Kapa board and, using our ZUND Plotter,
contour cut the graphics to the desired shape. Some of the graphics
had to be printed in sections due to material sizes and butt joined on
site. KGK also printed to 5mm foam PVC and cnc routered to shape,
this was particularly difficult as we had to match the background colour
(printed on a solvent machine to self adhesive vinyl) to ensure that the
tonal blend was continuous.
The Result:
KGK are very proud to be associated with such a striking and
innovative graphics package.

The Brief:
KGK were involved at the conceptual stage to produce suspended
cardboard engineered graphic cubes that were rotated using an
integral motor system from within the lid of the box, together with free
standing units that were to be placed on the shop floor.
Our Solution:
There were 22 cubes in total, all with totally unique designs per side
and individual messages for the bottom panel on the hanging units.
All graphic units were printed to eb fluted card and contour cut on our
ZUND plotter. Due to the size of the cubes they were produced in a
number of sections and then tape fixed along the crease lines.
The Result:
All of these units were supplied flat for assembly on site, KGK supplied
full assembly instructions with the graphics enabling the fitting teams to
make all of the units and have them suspended within 4 hours.
All graphics printed direct to recycled card sheet,
then cut and creased on a Zund to fold into cubes.

The Brief:
Head Offices of International brewers, SAB Miller. Architect, Tilney
Shane. Project manage and handle all aspects of interior and exterior
digital graphics and signage. Solutions must be impactful, yet
elegantly understated to complement the contemporary style as
specified by the architect.
The building was due to be handed over to the client in 6 weeks.
Our Solution:
KGK worked closely with both the architects and builder, in this case
Galliford Try plc. KGK put forward a number of innovative solutions, in
keeping with the overall style of the project.
These included over 500 linear metres of glass manifestation, 500

metres of digital print, a large quantity of digital wallpaper and the
manufacturer and installation of the illuminated, architectural signage
for the exterior of the building.
The Result:
All signage was manufactured and installed successfully in time for the
client to move in. The project was voted as one of the top 100
architectural developments in the UK.

The Brief:
New Southern Head Offices for Luminar PLC, proprietors of over 400
nightclubs throughout the UK.
Project manage and handle all aspects of interior graphics and
signage.
Using existing on-location digital photography, create bold and
colourful graphics to enhance meeting and working areas.
The building was due to be handed over to the client within 4 weeks.
Our Solution:
KGK, working closely with the designers at Tilney Shane, put forward a
number of product swatches and samples to illustrate what was
achievable from the files supplied.
Finished graphics were produced and themed throughout the building
to enhance the open areas of space while still complying with DDA
requirements.
This included over 150 linear metres of digital wallpaper, nearly 300
linear metres of intricate manifestation, a number of life size clear vinyl
characters and the large backlit graphic walls.
Result:
All signage was manufactured and installed successfully within budget
and on time to the complete satisfaction of the client.

Crest for Royal College of Anaesthetists

The Brief:
Head offices for Royal College of Anaesthetists in Holborn.
As part of a total building renovation KGK were enlisted to manufacture
the clients crest logo as a 3 dimensional sign. This was particularly
challenging as to get sufficient depth it needed to be produced in a
number of sections due to sheet sizes and weight.
Our Solution:
After a number of proof drawings and sample sections KGK started
production. It took approximately 30 hours to render the file from the
outlined drawing and 60 hours to router and hand paint. We used
50mm thick sign foam (a closed cell, non porous material) that is light
weight but very strong. Using 3M VHB tape, we bonded each section
together to give a seamless join. This was then base coated and
finished by hand to get an even finish.
Result:
A truly individual sign manufactured using an innovative production
process.

The Brief:
In addition to the main signage for The Royal College of Anaesthetists
KGK were requested to fulfill the directional / way-finding requirements
for all 10 floors.
Our Solution:
KGK were involved directly with the architect in specifying this project to
enable the client to get the maximum impact for the budget that was set.
KGK produced a number of samples for colour and finish to enable the
architect to get sign off prior to work commencing.
The signage package included some 200 individual signs ranging from
door plaques to large directories and way-finders all of which were
manufactured from 3mm aluminium that was stove enamelled to the
Pantone colour specified and had self adhesive vinyl applied as the
variable text. There was also a considerable quantity of vinyl
manifestation that involved cutting a crop of the college's motto in Latin
text, this ran through the entire building.
Result:
All signage was manufactured and installed successfully within budget
and on time for the building hand over. KGK are proud to be part of this
very prestigious project and continue to work with RCA.

IHSTI, Head Office, Bracknell

The brief:
UK head office for IHSTI, a leading edge supplier of standards,
regulatory, product and supplier information to industries worldwide.
KGK were appointed with a tight deadline to fulfil the large graphics
and manifestation requirements.
Our Solution:
Timing was very tight, KGK were given sample swatches of 'approved
materials by the client' only a few days before the job was due to start.
The material that the client had chosen was manufactured in Germany
and the quantity required to complete the job was not available in the
UK. KGK sourced the product direct, had it shipped into the country
and was able to complete the job within 10 days from date of order.
This project was very varied in that the graphics package included a
manifestation pattern that was quite complex and required inlaying a
different colour into an outlined shape, a number of graphic walls that
were printed directly onto foamex, over 30 solid coverage vinyl doors
and a large quantity of stretched digital canvas prints.
The Result:
All signage was manufactured and installed successfully within budget
and on time for the building hand over. KGK are very proud that this
project was completed in such little time and that the quality of finish
has been commended.
