nightlife and attractions...or perhaps its
wealth of appealing singles. Whatever the
reasons may be, gays and lesbians come
from all over to take in the city’s warm
hospitality and colorful culture.

Being a big city, there is a
wide variety of people and
scenes, so you are sure to
find what you seek.
Oak Lawn is known for its
fabulous restaurants and
stylish bars as well as being
one of the few nationally
recognized gay
neighborhoods in the
country. Many conventional
ideas about Texas are being dispelled by this forward
thinking area and its
residents. There’s much
more to Dallas than most
people think and Oak Lawn
is one ideal example of
that. Known locally as their
“gayborhood”, Oak Lawn is
adjacent to the Dallas Design District, and as a result
Dallas has one of the largest Gay
populations in the US and is home to the
largest GLBT church: The Cathedral of
Hope. Gay Dallas is primarily centered
around the Oak Lawn area with bars,
restaurants, and stores found throughout
Cedar Springs Rd and Oak Lawn Avenue.
The intersection of Throckmorton and
Cedar Springs has been called the
“crossroads” of Oak Lawn and is the home
to a bunch of GLBT Bars, coffee shops,

flourished with abundance of new
construction projects! Most housing in

Builders have responded to the housing slowdown by curtailing new construction to its
lowest level in 14 years. Once the backlog of
ready to sell homes returns to normal, new
home prices will rise. The D/FW housing market is poised to recover faster than the rest of
the nation.
Low Interest Rates
Todays extremely low interest rates mean
lower monthly payments on new homes. New

with the current attractive rates. Mortgage
