Seattle Sheraton
Saturday, October 3, 2015
5:00p.m.
Every year the Kirkland Boys & Girls Club
takes part in the King County wide auction
called KidsAuction. Our goal is to raise over
$1 million to help fund programs for Boys &
Girls Clubs throughout King County. With
the support of our donors, 100% of the
proceeds from items solicited by the Kirkland Club will benefit kids in our Kirkland
community.
This black-tie affair has both silent and live
auctions, and includes a five course dinner
and late night dessert. 900 + patrons are
expected to attend this year’s auction at the
Sheraton Hotel in downtown Seattle.
This is a fun evening with plenty to do and
see. Let us know if you would like to attend
or donate to support your Club. Tickets are
$250 per patron. Volunteer opportunities
include day of event set up, item procurement, sponsoring a table and administrative
support.
We’d love to have your help!
Email Christina Ratkus at [email protected] to find out how you can make a
difference.
Team and Banner Sponsors
Become a sponsor either at a team level or Gym
banner level. A team sponsorship is a $250 investment for one season and features your company’s
name on the back of the shirts for the entire team,
on the Boys & Girls website for the season and
a plaque will be issued. A gym banner sponsor is
a $1,200 investment and is good for one year of
recognition in the Boys & Girls Club Gym. Each
gym banner sponsorship takes pride in being recognized as a partner of the Boys & Girls Clubs in
all marketing materials and is highlighted for a year
on the Boys & Girls website. For more information,
contact the Club at (425)827-0132.

United Way
Designate the Kirkland Boys & Girls
Club this Fall on your United Way pledge
form. Did you know that you can choose
to designate your United Way gift to a
specific Boys & Girls Club? Although the
Kirkland Boys & Girls Club is part of a
larger network, the Boys & Girls Clubs of
King County, you may still designate your
contribution to the club of your choice.
Many families support us each year with
their pledge. Each donation goes directly
to help build children’s self-esteem, values,
and life skills through a wide array of
educational, athletic, art and social programs. At the Boys & Girls Club no child
is ever turned away because of economic
hardship. Each United Way contribution
makes a difference.
The Positive Place For Kids
Children

are welcomed and supervised when in
the
facility. The Club has an open door policy, allowing
members to come and go at their own free will. Our staff does
not grant permission for kids to leave the Club, nor do we insist they
stay. The decision as to when a child arrives and leaves the Club and with
whom needs to be handled between parent and child. Children not mature
enough to handle this responsibility should have the close supervision of
other more suitable programs. We encourage you to join us in helping your
children grow during the time spent at the Club by enrolling them in one
of our many programs.
Drop-In Program Fee: $5 per day (effective Nov
1st), plus membership fee of $50

the class at the Kirkland Boys & Girls Club for several years. She has worked with kids in the school district and has taught

Be a Teen Tutor!
We encourage teens to tutor younger kids with reading, writing,
comprehension and mathematic skills. This is a great opportunity
for teens to get involved in the community and take on a mentoring
and leadership role. Not only do teens benefit, the younger kids are
shown that education is important as well. For more information
contact Erik Touhey at 425-827-0132 or [email protected].
Jr. Staff
Be a part of something great! Complete service hours, educational preparation, tutor younger members and help staff run social
recreation events. We also raise money and go on field trips throughout the year. It is a great bonding experience.
