Where are we now? This image cannot currently be displayed. City of Loveland Recreation Trail 2016 Update – Parks and Recreation, Projects CURRENT PROJECTS 1. Colorado Front Range Trail – North of Boyd Lake, west side of CR 11C heading to Fort Collins. Working on final easements, construction summer 2016. 2. Long View Trail Corridor – north of 57th and Taft (Sunset Vista NA), design in progress, construction fall 2016 3. Flood Recovery – Wilson Bridge and recreation trail between Taft and Wilson Ave. FEMA review required. Bridge construction scheduled for fall/winter 2016/17. 4. Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park – flood reconstruction, 1121 Highway 34, Final designs complete, CLOMR in progress with FEMA. Construction planned to start in September 2016. Park to reopen fall 2017 5. Trail from Namaqua to W. US 287 Underpass – design and construct the ¾ mile trail from Namaqua Rd. west to the GLIC ditch crossing and connect to the US 387 underpass. Front Range Trail Collaborative project: Loveland , Larimer County and Ft. Collins Trail from CR 11C @ Boyd Lake State Park to CR 30 then west to Larimer County trail connection between CR 30 and Carpenter Road Staff finalizing construction documents, construction 2016 LONG VIEW CORRIDOR TRAIL • Collaborative project: Loveland , Larimer County and Ft. Collins • Connect the 2 Cities and County with 4.4 miles of new trail, paralleling Taft Ave/Shields Street (Off – Road) • Connect - 4 Natural Areas and Cities recreational trails Priorities – 2016 & 2017 Complete design and construct the North Front Range Trail to Fort Collins (2016) Rebuild the Wilson Ave. Trail Bridge and complete trail restoration between Taft and Wilson Ave. Completed design and secure FEMA funding summer 2015, construct over winter 2016 Rebuild Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park – reopen in 2017 Continue to secure easements from Wilson to Namaqua and construct trail from Namaqua to US 287 , secure easements from Rossum to US 287 (10c) . Complete design of Long View Corridor Trail (2016), construction (2016/2017) Continue to secure easements for the future trail connections • Trail Segment 7c – 57th to US 287 Underpass • Denver Avenue to Boyd Lake Avenue (Seg. 12)
