Come with us to Turneffe Island Resort, located on a private island at the Turneffe
Atoll, Belize, one of the best permit fisheries on the planet. This trip is ideal for
anglers of all skill levels and is sure to create memories that will last a lifetime.
When: August 22-29, 2015
Fishing: Turneffe Island Resort is located
just 3 minutes from what is probably the
best permit fishery on the planet. A reef
called “The Elbow”. Here you sightfish on
deep water for massive shools of huge
permit (to 50lbs+). Big schools of bonefish
are to be found on nearly any flat you lay
eyes on. Tarpon can be hunted in the closeby mangrooves. This really is a Grand Slam
destination. Other species such as jacks, barracuda, snook and snapper can be targeted
in the surrounding mangroves and flats.
Lodging: Guests will stay in Turneffe
Island Resort’s spacious and comfortable guestrooms or private villas, all with
ocean-front location. All feature private
bathroom and balcony, where your morning coffee is served at 6.30am.
Dining: Turneffe Island Resort has it’s own
dining room which specializes in fresh,
local Caribbean cuisine. Evening meals are
served family style. Breakfasts are made to
order and lunch is pre-ordered the prior
day and packed in a cooler, waiting for you
each morning before you hit the water.

Travel Details: Getting to Turneffe Island
Resort is easy. Guests will fly to Belize City
International Airport. Here you will be
picked up and driven to the harbour. From
there, the boat will take you on a final 90
minute boat ride to Turneffe Island Resort.
Included: Daily guided fishing, round
trip, land and sea transfers between Belize
City and Turneffe Island Resort, hotel/
sales tax, 3 meals per day, double occupancy accommodations.
Not included: International flight to
Belize, Beverages & Bar Tab, gratuities for
guides/staff, terminal tackle, flies (can be
purchased at their tackle shop).
This exact week in August 2014, the two of us hooked up with 30 permit, landing 21 of them,
caught numerous of bonefish, barracudas and jacks, topped with a Double Grand Slam.
